Sharingan Spec

Did it get stealth nerfed? I remember it giving -50% chakra cost to keeping it activated, but that's not listed anymore. Am I goin' crazy or wut?

Also! Legitimate question. Is there a situation where Sharingan spec would be superior to Katon spec that doesn't involve controlling Bijuu with the MS? I like the idea of A-rank freeform Genjutsu, but having access to all of the Uchiha jutsu is nicer.

Third question! It says "1) The Sharingan can copy techniques of all kinds[Excluding Kekkei Genkai], including Personal & Village Restricted upon witness as long as it is within the realm of personal capability, however to utilize, one must purchase it through the EXP System or train.

2) If one possesses the sufficient amount of EXP to purchase a copied jutsu that has been copied through a battle thread, one can purchase and utilize that copy jutsu in that same thread upon purchase.
", which confuses me a bit. So say that you have A-rank Genjutsu and someone uses a B-rank Genjutsu that you observe. In order to use that jutsu, you have to like...make a training thread, train it, and then you can use it in the thread that you saw it in? That seems confusing because it's a really strange abuse of liquid time, but that's my understanding of how it's written.

For that third question I can shed a bit of light, though I'm not sure if you can copy a genjutsu?? Anyway, say you coped a technique in a thread, if at that point you had enough exp to buy said technique from the shop you could buy it and be able to use it in that same thread.

For example, someone uses... Water Dragon missile and it costs 5k exp in the shop. If you copied that technique in a thread and had enough exp to buy it right then and there then you could get it and be able to use it in that same thread. I think they set it up this way so people would be able to use copied techniques but not automatically and just go around copying and re-using everything they saw instantly. Hope that helped! Yes, I was the one that removed the -50% chakra cost to keep active. I do a lot of stealth modifications :o I was gonna PM those with Sharingan to alert them to this but... Too much effort and nobody even has Sharingan Spec yet. I figured you'd re-read the thread if you wanted it anyway. >_>

It was originally redundant anyway, since Sharingan would have cost 1% per post to keep active and to half that would still result in a 1% consumption (no consumption can be less than 1%). Now, following the implementation of Tiny Chakra Consumption to balance this, it became obvious that the -50% chakra consumption made no sense; the only way to reduce chakra consumption is to increase chakra control and KG spec should not do that. Specialising in something can never reduce the amount of chakra it uses, only its power, speed, etc. unless that spec is in Chakra Control itself (Chakra Reserves has the same effect on the percentage chakra remaining but is not actually reducing the amount of chakra used).

With regards to whether Katon Spec or KG[Sharingan] Spec is better... That is a ridiculous question; there are tons of situations in which it is superior. However, there are an equal number of situations where Katon Spec would be superior. It seems to me that question is like asking which of ice and water is superior irl... >_>

For copying, a jutsu can be copied in a thread so long as you have the prerequisites for that jutsu without being purchased in the store or trained. To use that same jutsu in subsequent threads, however, you must either train it or buy it from the shop. I think Kata already explained this but I thought it wouldn't hurt to have a second explanation! xD
