For the third time in two minutes he just barely turned his head to glance back over his shoulder to see if the pursuer was still on his tail. As expected, they were. "I guess I've been getting sloppy lately, if they're managing to follow me this far." As usual, he pretended not to notice them- for now. But he couldn't ignore them for much longer, considering that he was rapidly approaching the place Inari had said to meet him.
Strengthening the chakra gathered in his feet, Sato suddenly sprang forward, easily clearing as much distance in one jump as it would have taken three skips going at his normal pace. Once he was ahead of the tracker, he suddenly kicked off the branch into a backflip, flying a fifteen feet off the platform before spinning to slam his feet against the treebranch positioned above him, letting him hang upside down like a bat. He crouched against the branch to decrease the size of his profile, just as the pursuer jumped to the branch underneath him, finally giving him a good look at the enemy.
It was a woman, with chest-length purple hair. She was wearing an ANBU's standard attire, mask and all. Her head turned slowly from side to side as she attempted to track her prey...Sato could only let out a soft chuckle, snapping off a few quick handseals while keeping his eye on the woman. A few seconds passed before the ANBU finally started to move again, returning from the direction she came in an attempt to get her bearings. With her out of the way, the Uchiha dropped to the branch she'd just occupied and laughed. "That should hold her for a while."
With that out of the way, he returned to his travels, still heading towards the predetermined rendezvous area. Someone high up in the village must be getting suspicious of his increasingly frequent absences as of late if they were willing to send ANBU to investigate him. Usually that would have been a matter for the Police Force... He shook his head to clear that thought from his mind. No need to bring up the past now of all times. It wasn't long before Sato was finally able to hop down from the treeline, walking out into a small clearing to wait his partner's timely arrival...

→ At the front of a shrine in the middle of a clearing, he laid at its base in the lotus position with his eyes shut, mind open, and soul ready to be touched. In truth, he did not like this very much, but it became a tradition of consequent due to art of praying to the one of many - god of Inari, but it was mostly unnecessary since, as he was educated, he was praying to himself. However, to justify this contradiction, his teacher continuously preached that he prays to become one to the spirits that watch-over and read the prayers of their master followers, and since he was their master, they would attempt their hardest in divine aid to see that his destiny be accomplished. Moreover, that was not all he was doing. To develop and enhance his sensory skills, he would constantly keep his sixth sense open in the lotus position, his hands in the form of the tiger, simply to sense the immediate area, however, he was incapable of sensing beyond a certain distance, this distance being greater than it was when he first picked up the ability to become a Sensory-Type shinobi. It pays off, like now, as a glob of chakra entered the clearing, just within his sensory range - 20 meters, but it was directly ahead of him so the person most likely could not see him at the base of the shrine, so he peeked and WA-LAH! Satori. Satori was an individual that Inari saved by coincidence, and soon became his partner in crime, and as it was just the inception of the idea of Zenko, it was delightful to see if he could gain more members. However, instead of staying with Inari in his travels, he went back to his village, and guess what, became the Keimu Butai Hachou which was an impressive feat in and of itself, especially it at his age no less. There was always a possibility that his sense of duty can interfere with their partnership, and what could await him now was an army of ANBU ready to take him down, but ah, he always had an escape plan or two, so what was there to fear? Besides that, he had trust in Satori, as he was sure Satori had trust in him. Getting up from the lotus position and brushing himself off, he walked around the shrine with a bright white smile - hygiene was important. "Good evening Satori, any troubles getting here?" He asked sincerely, but there was a small black hole in his heart that wished Satori would become a Nukenin so he would not be alone in his future mission back to his homeland, but he could not implement Satori or get him killed if something went wrong.

He simply shook his head and shrugged while letting out a sigh. The kid really had no flair for dramatics. An entrance should be classy- especially if you styled yourself after a God. Well, he was still young- younger than Satori, anyway. Maybe he'd grow into it eventually.
It was still a bit hard for him to accept, that Inari was so young. After all, when they'd first met, Inari defeated a squad of, albeit weakened, Jounin and Chuunin while it took everything Sato had just to bring down a single Jounin. The boy was the prodigy that his father had always hoped he would have been. There was some measure of envy there- not really because Sato felt any ill will towards Inari himself, just that his life probably would have turned out much different if his father hadn't been disappointed so often. Sato simply shrugged a second time, pushing the thoughts out of his head. That was all in the past now anyway- his father didn't hold much power over him now either way.
When Inari finally addressed him, Sato let his head list to the side, closing his eyes while holding his left arm horizontally across his chest and cupping his chin with the right hand, "Trouble...? No, just a small gnat nipping at my heels. But it's been taken care of." He hesitated for a moment before letting his hands drop to his sides, returning his gaze back to Inari, "In any case, what's up?"

→ He could read from Satori's body language that he was troubled, it was why he would ask the questions regarding his mental state, perhaps of thoughts of recent or past, but nonetheless, troubled in some form. It came to Inari that Satori could be having doubts, just as he assumed anyone would, but albeit he had doubts Satori had doubts, he trusted Satori enough to work that out himself. Someone like Satori, someone with a strong mind, should be capable of removing weaknesses such as doubts, at least if he was having any at all.
Satori's response begged curiosity that rose Inari's bro, and then brought about a white smile. "I see." He continued after Satori's question, "...I'm not one to call you out unless it held some importance, so I am here to ask two things, as i need funding for Zenko, and I need to lose my enemy, i must do two things, so i have two favors to ask of you, Satori." Putting his hand behind his head, he looked towards the sky nonchalantly and begun to walk towards Satori with the intention of passing his right shoulder.
"One, the location of Konohagakure's Village Scroll. As Konohagakure's Police Captain, I'm sure you know at least the location." He explained the first thing he needed, and continued to state the second before Satori could respond, "Two, I need to stop hunters from Takigakure to stop hunting me, so...I'm going back to Takigakure, and its been awhile since I've sparred, so will you be my sparring partner?" He chuckled softly in embarrassment, essentially telling Satori, its been awhile since he has actually done "real" battle, and the last time he could recall was perhaps when he fought off those attempting to take Satori's life. Albeit, he still maintained and trained his skills, just have yet to apply them to their supposed uses.

He realized that he owed Inari a debt that he would probably never be able to replay, but he also owed a debt to the village that raised him. If Inari was plotting directly against the village they might come to blows, but as it was, he would willingly help the boy get what he needed- even if it did make him feel a bit uncomfortable.
Sato folded his arms across his chest and sighed softly, shaking his head, "You need funding, so you want the scroll? Are you planning on selling it?" He knew that he would probably end up helping Inari in the end, but he shouldn't give up knowledge like that so easily. The Uchiha listened to the rest of Inari's spiel in silence. Once he was finished explaining, Satori simply shrugged, "How about this. If you win, I'll draw you a map to the location of the scroll. If I win... well, we'll figure that out later."
The Uchiha closed his eyes for a moment, listening to the sounds of the surrounding area- the soft rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze, some squirrels running through the underbrush. Once he was satisfied that there were no onlookers, Satori slowly opened his eyes, sclera flaring dark crimson with two tomoe circling each eye, a slight smirk twisting his lips, "Let's dance."

→ Satori's assumption was spot on.. He indeed was planning to sell it, but selling it to an enemy village would hurt Konohagakure itself. No. He was going to sell it to someone that wouldn't cause no harm to Konohagakure. "Indeed. I intend to sell it to its owner." He spoke swiftly, reassuring Satori of his plans to not bring harm to Konohagakure. He didn't want to put Satori into a position of "betray his homeland" or "betray the person he owes his life to." A tough decision that could cause much confusion of ones priorities, one that could lead to complete mental breakdown.
Inari grew intrigued by Satori's challenge, if he were to win, he'll draw him a map to the location, and if he loses, they'll...do something. He didn't think it would be easy for Satori to simply hand in the information, but to integrate it into his invitation for a spar was beyond his expectations. This will be knocking out two birds with one stone essentially, so he didn't object to the offer, and when Satori flared his Two-Tomoe sharingan, he knew he was serious.
In response, Inari's posture changed to a four-legged stance, much akin to that of a fox, his stance incredibly low and fluid, as if the stance itself was a natural everyday posture. "Let's." His sound as the ground itself was disturbed by his pounce forward, dashing forward with four legged movements[B-Rank Shunshin - Speed], and as he would get slower to Satori, perform a clash slash towards his upper torso[C-Rank Taijutsu - Strength], attempting to slash a good portion of his skin if hit.

Still, the very fact that the scroll would be outside of Konoha at all put it at risk. He was sure that Inari was very capable as far as combat went, but even he wasn't some kind of immortal juggernaut. He could, and would eventually fall. Same as anyone else. Sato just hoped he wouldn't be in possession of the scroll when that happened.
When Inari accepted his challenge and dropped to his combat stance, Sato could only scoff at the movement. Inari had taught him the Kitsune style, and so he had the advantage of foreknowledge here while his own fighting style was so varied that it would likely be hard for the boy to pin down. The Uchiha didn't need the Sharingan to know that Inari planned to lunge after him, hoping to close the gap and engage in close range combat- a massive weakness for Sato that he really had to get around to working on one of these days.
Instead of trying to match Inari claw for claw, Sato simply flooded his body with chakra and snapped off a very short series of handseals before waiting, taking a moment to rear back and take a large gasp of air, making it seem as if he was busy molding chakra for some Katon jutsu. In this case, he was actually preparing to cast a Genjutsu on Inari. Really, it was all he could do. Inari's skill in Taijutsu was far superior, and he could easily negate any shurikenjutsu or ninjutsu with that strange warping technique of his.
If Inari still attempted to execute his attack, Inari would clap his hands together to signal the start of the illusion. When Inari came within range, a light mist would overtake the area, causing the Uchiha to vanish from sight a split second before Inari would be locked within the Genjutsu, utterly incapable of moving an inch while the illusionary tree took root and grew around him, binding him to it's trunk with a few stray branches. Even if Inari did see through the ploy, Sato would lunge toward the White Fox, hoping to capture him regardless.

→ His lunge was saw through as Satori performed a quick set of handseals, and his handseal speed always astonished Inari to no end, especially when he watched him attempt to fight individuals before his intervention, one of his major skills and useful was that quick handseal formation and releasing closing the disadvantages of handseals by a lot. Enough marveling at his handseals, its more about what those handseals were doing - performing a jutsu - and from the his inhaling stance it was definitely a Katon technique.
Nullifying his claw attack, he shifted his movement to dodge said Katon Technique, arc'ing Satori's Right - Inari Left - with a distance of 6.2meters between the two, but it wouldn't end like that. He stopped as he was directly linear with Satori's right arm, going back to his normal posture with a skid, and performing a handseal himself as to counteract the expected Katon Technique.
A single handseal and and inhaling much akin to Satori's movement, yet different as it was as if he was pooling chakra through the back of his mouth rather than absorbing air to bring something to fruition from the pit of the stomach. He spat out a mass of water in the shape of a bullet, about the size of an adult fist, but there wasn't just one, but two released in succession aimed towards Satori's general direction.

But as soon as he saw Inari preform a handseal and his Sharingan picked up on the Suiton chakra flooding the boy's system, he crouched slightly. As soon as Inari cast the jutsu, Satori immediately dashed to the side to evade it. His foresight let him dodge the first blast completely, but the second clipped his shoulder, exploding in a splash of water. The Uchiha stumbled back a little, holding his right shoulder with his left hand, wincing from pain. Yeah... he really had to work on his speed. Although there was no lasting damage, he could tell that the impact had almost dislocated his arm. For the rest of this fight, it would be a vulnerable area for him... which meant he had to keep the Fox off of it.
"You're going to have to teach me how to move like that..." Satori's mask of indifference didn't drop often, but Inari's jutsu had touched on a major pet peeve of his. It was difficult for a non-Uchiha to understand the frustration, but to see an attack comparatively eons before it actually occurs... and still being unable to prevent it was immensely annoying. He pulled off another fast sequence of handseals before moving his right hand to circle around his mouth and snatched a shuriken from his back pouch, "Let's see you dodge this, then!" He would start to suck in air once again... only to spin his upper body, providing momentum for him to fling the shuriken at high speed towards the White Fox. Once it had traveled a few meters, hundreds of shuriken would suddenly begin to materialize around the original, forming an almost solid wall of ninja tools. "Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"

→ It hit. His first thought as one of his bullets scathed Satori's shoulder. In truth, he didn't want him to get hit, but if he didn't at least try in spar, then it would be disrespectful to Satori, so he would use all his tricks and tools, and see if his ability to discern and react has lessen any bit; moreover, this was merely practice for his possible fight with Daishin after all - if that were to occur. He grabbed his Shintai and stood in a defensive stance, jumping backwards to increase the distance, albeit his skills in Taijutsu were average in the shinobi community, his strategy right now was to discern Satori's fighting style - deduction. It seemed to be long-range battle, and feints, so getting up close and attempting to call a faint only to be engulfed in a ball of fire would be intense, but it could obviously be seen his feint to increase distance was only because he doesn't want a close-combat battle.
His deductive skills weren't lacking - good. Now, his decision making skills. Gather distance and attack from afar, getting about 3.1 meters of distance with his leap, making them stand 11.3m apart, accounting for the distance he jumped backwards and Satori's dodge attempt as well as his stumbling. His ability to measure distance precisely hadn't flattered either, but i guess running constantly could've attributed to its lack of dullness.
His eyes watched Satori's form as he gathered the needed momentum to throw a shuriken, good stance, posture, and release - as expected of an Uchiha. They were known for their abilities to handle shinobi tools, claiming to be one of the best clans with basic tools rivaling that of the Fuuma Clan. With his shintai out, he prepared to deflect it with its side, but suddenly, it turned from 1 to 100 hundred in a split second, and Inari's eyes were overwhelmed. Damn, he had this technique? He jumped backwards with quick leaps trying to keep the distance with the hoard, but he knew that trying to jump on either side would result him getting pinged by several shuriken. He performed a set of handseals with his continuous leaps backwards in a linear direction.
At the middle of the handseals would be a horizontal Shintai, a huge formula seal would erect from the Technique Formula placed on the Kunai cover about 15 feet by 15 feet of his body, absorbing all the shuriken that collided in its path and disappeared into a void dimension, and when all shuriken been absorbed, the barrier would close, revealing the technique specific handseal holding Inari with a smirk on his face. "Here, have it back."
A seal similar to the one that absorbed it all would erect from the Technique Formula on the Shintai and immediately release the many of shuriken that had been absorbed by its original barrier and sent directly back at Satori at the same speed.

Although Satori was usually incredibly quick on the uptake as far as jutsu went, he was unable to discern the true nature of Inari's. He was sure that if he could see it just a few more times, he would be able to analyze it... and at least work out a counter, if unable to imitate it himself. As Satori focused his Sharingan on Inari, he noticed him preforming another jutsu. The molding seemed similar to the teleportation, but that didn't require handseals from what he recalled. Suddenly his view of the White Fox was blocked by a large barrier-esque entity that his shuriken vanished into. Sato barely had time to wonder about the nature of this particular technique when he realized it had reflected his jutsu back at him! Sato cursed under his breath... and closed his eyes. He only held them shut for a split second, but when he decided he was ready, only opened the left one- his stronger eye. "Sharingan...!" He didn't have long, so Sato quickly traced a few paths in his head before flaring his fingers to either side, seemingly spawning seven kunai from the ether- one between each of his fingers with the final one held in his mouth. When the oncoming wall of shuriken came within range, he flung the kunai in his hands two at a time with great dexterity. Once the six were exhausted, he snatched the one out of his mouth and tossed it towards the wall as well. Satori had used the Sharingan to throw the kunai at such an angle that they would deflect the shuriken they struck, knocking them to the side and causing them to push neighboring shuriken away. The end result was, once the wall of shuriken reached him, there was a child-sized hole in front of him, allowing Satori to avoid the attack simply by crouching on one knee. By this point, the Uchiha was starting to run low on chakra. Since Inari would win if it came down to a test of physical strength, he had to end this quickly. Direct attacks wouldn't work, and he didn't have enough chakra for a Genjutsu powerful enough to disable Inari. That left... Satori shoved both of his hands into the pouches of ninja tools at his sides, expertly manipulating the tools while keeping his eyes on Inari. He needed just a little bit of time to prepare... → As expected. The skillful shurikenjutsu of Satori allowed him to completely dodge his own technique with an array and display of Kunai. It amazed Inari about what the Sharingan can do. He still didn't know all of its abilities, but the very ability to perceive attacks was insane enough as is, to think what would happen if it could become stronger than it already was. Which brought the question as to why, a Military Captain, has only two tomoes, when it was said the Sharingan usually has three tomoe. Perhaps it wasn't developed? Was that a immature stage? He could only guess without detailed knowledge of the sharingan other than a vague reference of its abilities and rumors. His smirk stayed upon his face, filled with an impressed look, "Oh is that so?" His playful tone bounced on every syllable. This was exactly what he wanted, but his reserves wouldn't last too long if he kept utilizing techniques like that, there were times like this that he wished he would bring Ninja-Tools with him, but ah, he always had Taijutsu, and one Shintai has been enough thus far.
He measured the distance from him to Satori: 21.7meters. His continuous leaps to dodge the on-coming shuriken had put nearly double the distance as it was before, and this was disadvantageous, cause most of his offensive arsenal were slow attacks, so this range would give him suitable amount of time to dodge. He needed to close this distance or his attacks would be pointless. His eyes shifted randomly towards Satori's right shoulder, it was scathed by his technique, and this was merely a spar, he forgot he wasn't supposed to seriously come to injury Satori, and not to mention he deflected a hoard of Shuriken back towards Satori. That could've killed him. Perhaps he was thinking of this too much like a battle, but was fighting always to exhilarating? Or was it simply due to a fight between friends that he found this to be more exciting than fighting random enemies and being forced to do away with them by orders of the government, something he reluctantly refused to do even on active military duty. It was a mystery, an enigma of the thought, the very subject spiraled his distaste for battle, and his philosophy was mildly shaken. Temporarily.
He snapped back into reality fairly quickly, returned back to battle mode, and performed the Shunshin no Jutsu[B-Rank Shunshin: Distance Capable: , allowing him to go from 0 to top speed by enhancing his body with chakra, giving him the pseudo-look of being faster than he is, but that was his speed, so...perhaps that was a contradiction? Whatever the case for this unversal technique, he would close the distance in the matter of milliseconds, to the right of Satori, about a 1.7meter apart, his fist balled into a fist and dashing towards Satori's face with his average speed.

After all, Inari specialized in high mobility and had even developed his own Taijutsu style while both high speed and Taijutsu were his own largest weak points. Of course, that also meant that if he could beat Inari, he could probably beat anyone. Well, except for a Kage. If Satori had obtained the third tomoe of his Sharingan, then his weakness in close range combat would effectively be nullified due to the fact that coming close enough to threaten him would also leave them open to his Genjutsu. Sadly, serving as the Military Forces Captain forced him to spend most of his time in the village, settling disputes and tracking down petty thieves. His blood was starved for combat, thus leaving him without the opportunity to develop the Sharingan further... Satori took a moment to scan the battlefield. Currently, he was in an incredibly advantageous position. A slight grin crossed his face as he planned out his next move... only for Inari's body to flare up in his sight, stealing his attention. Once again, Satori's Sharingan gave him forewarning of Inari's next move, but he was too slow to properly capitalize on it. As Inari started to dash forward with his Shunshin, Sato cursed again- he hadn't had enough time to prepare the jutsu! He just would have to make do... Satori slid three shuriken between the fingers of his left hand but only one in his right, although that single shuriken had three feet of wire attached. When Inari's Shunshin dropped, Sato whipped his left hand out of the pouch, rearing back... and then thrust his arm forward, trying to meet Inari's punch with his own. While Inari was both stronger and faster, the shuriken held between Sato's fingers formed a makeshift brass knuckle, hopefully evening things out a bit. Meanwhile, he flung the shuriken in his right hand underhand, intending to bounce it off the ground behind Inari so that the wire would wrap around the White Fox's left ankle. If it successfully bound him, Sato would yank his right arm back in an attempt to pull Inari's leg out from under him and knock him to the ground. → His attack was met with a response, as he came from a position of high speed to a stop with a attack, he hadn't expected to be this far 1.7meters, he wanted to be further and venture behind him, but his ability with shunshin had not allowed such luxuries and abruptly ended, and as such, in those milliseconds, he responded with a fist to make up for the lack of ability, but as said before, it was met with a response. Satori had a makeshift brass-knuckle compromised of a shuriken, which completely caught Satori's eye, and the shuriken in his other hand caught his attention - damn. If he'd continue the attack, his hand would surely get shredded but simply stopping an attack mid-performance was a hard task, perhaps for anyone that wasn't Inari. Hehe, but now wasn't the time for that.
Sacrifices must be made for victory, it was what he was missing, what he was fearful of in combat, and what he would do in this very spar. His right hand met with the makeshift brass-knuckle causing him to wince in pain, but with his left hand holding the Shintai he'd use earlier to project a warp, he threw it to the right side of Satori, missing him and venturing behind him. As it did, his leg was caught in wire, What? He hadn't noticed. It wrapped around his leg with its thin grip that dug into his skin, causing another wince in pain followed by him disappearing from thin air, escaping the grip of the wire and the combination of his fist with the makeshift brass-knuckle.
He would transport to the Kunai, grabbing it by its grip in mid-air directly behind Satori in a standing position, his hand bleed, and soon the blade was at Satori's neck front-side. Ouch, that hurt.

Considering that nothing else had landed, he assumed that the boy would have some counter for that maneuver as well. But there wasn't time to dwell on the issue. His Sharingan detected movement out of the corner of his eye and he saw Inari about to throw something. He tilted his head to the side to try and evade the... kunai? Sato's eyes followed the weapon as it flew past him... it wasn't like any knife that he'd ever seen before. And there was a strange marking on the pommel. Although he kept it in mind, he felt the wire go taut in his right hand, so he yanked on it to unbalance Inari. But just as the boy started to fall, he suddenly vanished from sight, the wire going slack. Satori's eyebrow raised in confusion moments before he felt a knife at his throat. He tilted his head up to keep the blade as far away as possible, "...Heh. You got me. Not bad, kid." Taking advantage of the fact that Inari was standing behind him and his hands were already raised near his chest, he brought his hands a bit closer so that they were blocked from Inari's sight and formed a handseal. To further distract the boy, Sato snapped his head to the side, as if looking at something far in the distance, "Wait... something's wrong. ...Who is that?" The corner of Sato's mouth curled up in a smirk as his jutsu would go off unless Inari had the foresight to stop it. A strong breeze would flow past the pair, kicking up a tower of leaves to surround them both. A moment later the leaves would fall away, leaving Inari standing in the clearing alone, Sato seemingly having vanished into thin air...
