→ He leaned against one of the training posts embedded in a thick bed of sand that seemed to enable it to stand upright, even if a considerable amount of force to pushed against it, a Sunagakure miracle and wonder of the world, but what lies beneath it was the true answer - something Sasuke doesn't care about. Ikeda Sasuke, a Sunagakure Shinobi - Genin - was at the Great Oasis Training Grounds based on the outskirts of Sunagakure. However, he was not training, not yet at least. No, he was reading a book about shinobi history, something he used to read in the Academy, and something he only read to keep himself fascinated. The history books of each village would obviously be different due to its one-sidedness and need to look like the ones who did nothing wrong, and yet it's always their fault. Always.
What he knew Sunagakure history was little, but it was the only village to have been defeated by one man, something that Sunagakure could not hide due to it being the main reason for the treaty and national headlines. Ah, the war. Such a controversial topic, even to Sasuke. He was not one to care for the life of his enemy, but he cared for their cause and the reason they want to risk their life. For him, its for his own worth. He has little to none in his eyes. There was nothing to do, except become stronger, and one day be remembered, fade onwards, and let the next generations do its thing. So, was it just for strength or to be remembered, and if it was one, which one was it? As the other would undeniably lead to the other; Umeki Ryoishi i was proof of that. Albeit he will never admit it to anyone other than himself, Umeki Ryoishi - Nidaime Hokage - was his inspiration. He was the reason he was at this location right now, why he strives forward, and why he feels the need to survive and exist.
His eyes glanced over at the object covered in a blanket, taller than he, but immensely slimmer. "You ready?
" He asked. No audible response was given. Hot, as per usual, and nary a cloud in the sky. Such was life in Suna and how, or more importantly, why people decided to settled down in such a place would always be beyond Kosui. He had taken just about every possible precaution to protect himself from the devilish heat save covering his entire face, but until he magically developed some god-like sensory powers he'd always have a square like flap open to see. Meh, complaining about such things were not going to make matters any better, though for a moment he contemplated performing a rain dance just to see if it'd work.
His feet this day had the Chunin on the path to the training grounds for if there was one thing to escape the heat it was getting all worked up and sweaty by running around for a few hours. In actuality training did help clear the boys mind of the heat, or rather, occupied it with over thoughts that pertained to bettering his skills. Maybe he'd call on one of the brothers to keep him company while he trained, though pulling them away from their oasis always led to a bit of nagging on their end, and who could blame them?
As he neared the closest training spot dark brown hues spied another figure, or rather, two figures propped up against one of the wooden posts. It seemed at first glance that this particular area had already been taken but seeing the open book in the boy's hand made Kosui think twice. Maybe he was done and simply cooling off before heading back into the village-proper. It didn't hurt to ask, at least, and the worst outcome was that the boy would have to walk a little bit farther to reach one of the other training grounds.
"Oi, you done using this spot?"

→ The non-audible response was responded by Sasuke with a light nod and the closing of his book. To the surrounding world, they received silence, but to him and his imaginative mind, he received a "Yes, Master." It resounded with a feminine voice with a delicate tone as if it was used to saying those words on a daily basis, as if it was enslaved to Sasuke's will and spirit. That was entirely true, as it did not exist without such. Sasuke quietly picked himself up from off the sandy layer that was the foundation that is the Great Oasis Training Grounds, and make a quick few stretches, and begun to perform warm-up exercises. It was in the beginning of such that a man, who wore protective garments, dark brown eyes with staggering height and what seems to be really long legs and arms came to ask him a question.
Sasuke's eyes analyzed him from head to toe, and refrained from responding to his question for a brief moment. It was his moment of decisiveness on whether he wanted to respond or not, as even if he was done, the man could simply go somewhere else to train, but a thought hit his mind during that moment of silence which lead to what he would say now.
"Yes, i was simply cooling off with some light post-exercises.
" It was a blatant lie, but it didn't matter. There was more forms of training than repetition training, and a better one at that - experience training. He moved towards his large-poll shaped object wrapped in a sheet, and placed it upon his back with by the strap on the object. Fitting it nicely, he moved away from the training grounds about 13 meters from his previous location, sat down, placed the object next to him and proceeded to watch the man's training session, hoping for it to be a fascinating watch. His eyes turned towards the pool object, as if being called to his attention. " You're going to have to wait, Kyomu. " He turned his eyes back towards the tall individual and watched his every movement. Perhaps the kid hadn't heard him? The howling winds of Kaze no Kuni had a way of throwing one's voice in the most inopportune of times. However, that assumption was dismissed once the boy replied. Indeed he was done, and though performing post-training exercises was key in not cramping up it didn't take a whole training ground to do so. Brown hues watched as the boy gathered his covered item and moved away a bit but not completely out of sight. No matter, he was far enough to not get in the way at least. A couple more steps and then Kosui would cease movement before un-clipping the large fan on his back and place it firmly on the ground; one hand on the top for stabilization. A quick rotation of the arm to loosen up the muscles and joints followed because even after carrying around that fan for years it still put a bit of strain on the back when holstered for long periods of time.
When everything seemed to be in its right place the Chunin picked up the large fan and with a flick of his wrist opened it to reveal the multiple folds and three red dots. As per usual he was going to begin the training session with the fan before moving on to other areas, something about swinging that thing around and whipping around the sand was freeing. Two hands now firmly placed onto the weapon, Kosui twisted his arms back before bringing them, and the fan, around to the front and releasing a sizable gust of wind. He hadn't poured much, if any, chakra into the swing which is why it lacked the usual gale force intensity, but none the less it still brought about a decent breeze.
The desert heat must have been playing tricks on him, surely it was, because the Chunin could have swore when he turned back for that small moment that the boy from earlier was just... staring at him. It was true that he hadn't left he area completely, but Kosui had simply assumed that he would have continued his exercises instead of just... staring. Re-closing his fan, the Chunin turned to the oddly silent kid and gave him an inquisitive look. "Somethin' wrong?" He asked, because just staring at another person like that, especially a guy, was downright creepy.

→ His eyes laid its gentle grace at the abnormally tall individual with a weird object strapped upon his back, similar to how Satori would always carry Kyomu around, perhaps he was a fellow puppeteer? It was only wishful thank however as the object was soon removed and revealed to be that of Kyodai Sensu with 3 red dots - its normal appearance. He should've guessed, which also suggests that what he was about to see was going to be an adaption of powerful fuuton. Fuuton, otherwise known as Wind Release, is one of the five elemental natures with a strong affinity for Raiton, Lightning Release, and weak affinity towards Katon, Fire Release. It held high strategic ability, commonly utilizing various AOE - Area of Effect - and Cutting Techniques to decimate the enemy while also keeping them at bay and forcing them into a Long-Range Battle. He knew this much about Fuuton from the Academy and various observations made from reading and watching Shinobi battles.
This was relevant to him for several reasons, one being that this usually tall individual was a Long-Distance Fighter, much akin to his preferred fighting style, but due to his usage of a heavy weapon, it would only be logical his Taijutsu abilities weren't far behind, allowing him to cover his weaknesses rather well. Unlike Puppeteers who were generally weak in Taijutsu due to the lack of needing it. In fact, it would be counterproductive for a Puppeteer to utilize High-Efficient Taijutsu in battle, but as it was unexpected, it was highly strategic to have it, yet there wasn't enough time to refine his abilities while attempting to enhance his physical capabilities - which he accepted was fact on that matter.
With a fluid motion, the unfolded fan released a moderately powerful gust that instinctively made Sasuke cover his eyes in-case sand was incoming. He wondered if this was the limit of his powers or did it raise further, seeing as his height suggests he was far older than he, if that was indeed the fact, it would only mean that this individual lacked in talent in shinobi arts - which would be shameful. With the man giving him an inquisitive brow and spoke of his curiosity of Sasuke's position, Sasuke took to silence for a short period of time, staring at the individual as if his words were completely transparent.
"No.
" He replied with an apathetic look, and continued to stare at the man's movements. He should explain himself, but that would only be too bothersome really, at least that's what he thought until a voice spoke to him in a feminine tone, causing him to look at the object covered in a sheet. " Okay." He said, turning his head towards the tall individual with the the giant fan, " I'm watching you train for intel gathering, so please, continue." [Word Count]: [1291/---] [Dialogue Color]: B87333[Dialogue Text]: TROCHUT[Dialogue Template]: " Words" [Techniques Used]: [Chakra Reserves]: [Inventory]: [1] [/ul] [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

The silence was odd, well for the most part. There was little true silence in this land as the wind was almost always blowing and even had a way of disrupting the thoughts of even the most sound minded individual. Actually, the silence was still weird, or rather this kid was. He just sort of kept staring like the words had went straight through his form. Then he turned to look at whatever was covered in that sheet, almost as if it had spoken to him. Maybe his parents had left him into the sun too long, yeah that must have been it.
A slightly confused look had etched itself across his feature by the time the other boy spoke. Intel gathering? This wasn't some kind of mission, it was just training. A little too zealous to join that division, eh? Kosui chuckled to himself to help break the tension that seemed to be one sided and contemplated what was going to happen next. Moving on to one of the other training grounds was definitely an option, though for some reason the Chunin felt that whoever this kid was would just follow him. Creepy. There was a second option, yes, but perhaps that would be adding fuel to the fire. Whatever, it was better than having a pair of eyes trail his every movements.
"Then get over here, can't gather intel just from looking, can ya?" The Chunin replied, offering the invitation to spar. Granted, the boy had just mentioned that he was doing post training exercises so maybe he'd be too exhausted to comply, but it was a last ditch effort to avoid having to put on a show for the creepy Genin.

→ His eyes remained distant from the mans words. It seemed as if it was a cheery way to invite another individual to a spar, if his comprehension of words were correct, it definitely was. He couldn't help but try to analyze the man's mental state, to ask a stranger to a spar, even if they were shinobi allies, it seemed all too weird, and...overly friendly - something Sasuke didn't take too kindly to. Just the thought that his individual was overly friendly, and perhaps overly handsy gave him a twitch in his eye. He wanted to politely refuse, but at this time, he'd just noticed that time had elapsed rather quickly, and it was perhaps 10 seconds of him thinking of possibilities of the tall individual being too friendly without giving him an answer.
He coughed slightly while turning his eyes to the Kyomu who was wrapped in a sheet. A small sigh followed with the expression of "whatever" written upon his face. It wasn't a whatever to the tall man, but to Kyomu, who insisted he fought someone with a similar fighting style as him. However, he knew he would lose. That was a given, but the experience and event should be short.
He got up from his seated position, and grabbed the sheet by its head, lifting it to his shoulders and attached firmly upon his back. He knew this acceptance of invitation was simply due to Kyomu's want for training, and since he'd deprive it of training, it would force him into a fight - spiteful bitch.
"Sure.
" He accepted. " You start." Having had 13 meters distance, it was a good starting point for both sides, easy way to establish their fighting styles and utilize it to the peak efficiency. However, he wasn't going to get close to a tall guy inviting him to a spar with a heavy ass fan, that's suicide. Another odd, elongated silence. Damn this kid was weird, was this really part of the next generation? Granted, Kosui wasn't all that much older than the boy himself so many would still lump him in the same generation as the odd one, but still there had to be a limit to how much a person could creep another out. The Chunin hadn't intended to spar with anyone today, especially a Genin, but in his haste to figure out a way to get the kid from being socially awkward the thought had just sort of popped up. Hell, beating up a Genin wasn't the intention, nor would he go that hard to actually hurt the kid... much, but in the end it'd be good experience for the both of them. Fun as it was, swinging around a giant fan for a few hours did get boring after a while.
Finally, movement after what seemed approval from whatever was under the sheet. Whatever it was the boy seemed to value it quite highly, or its opinion at least which made the situation even more weird than before. Kosui shook the odd thought from his head as the other boy positioned himself and gave the option to begin. In terms of abilities the boy had very little up his sleeve aside from the fan, though the force it created made closing in rather difficult, though having a couple of other options never hurt either. For a moment the Chunin thought about adding a third entity to the fight but figured that would be over kill. Besides, using that much chakra was wasteful.
Grabbing onto his fan the boy quickly whipped it open before swinging and releasing a chakra fueled gale. The range would no doubt cover the thirteen meters in a matter of moments and if it hit would not only blow the boy back a ways but also leave him with some cuts in various spots.

→ Was Kunai and Shuriken allowed? He wondered, it was clarified as to what the spar was truly about, nevertheless, there was indication that it was a spar and not a true fight. All the tall individual stated was that he should come closer to inspect his training regimen, but he took it as an invitation for a spar, and from the looks of it - he was right. However, the question is still lingering in the air, is the usage of deadly force such as Kunai and Shuriken which can puncture, injury, or even kill in some cases, be allowed in a friendly spar. Well, whatever the case was, he accepted that it would be. It'll only make sense a frail individual like himself could use metallic weapons to defend himself against a man of that stature and unknown shinobi prowess, right?
He shrugged at the thought, grabbing a Kunai from his holster and throwing it in his stagnant position when the boy grabbed his fan and readied a swing - he did make the first move, so, his was a response to said movement. In the end, a strong gale gust slapped the Kunai aside and directed itself towards the boy, his eyes widened in surprise as he shielded his eyes and head with a x-cross of the arms. It wasn't long before the strong wind lifted him from the ground and blew him back, lacerations appearing upon his arms, legs, body, and one cut upon his face - not as deep as the others. Ouch. He thought as he skidded after planting his feet upon the sand and being blown abound.
The distance increased between the two, 23 meters now, and he had already suffered minor injuries. He looked at his injuries for a second, looked at the tall individual, and raised his hands in the air suddenly. "Thank you for this lesson! However, i will be taking my non-violent position once more!
" He shouted so that the man could hear him as he was ways of from his location - 23 meters to be exact - and he had no intention of fighting someone of his caliber. Then he looked at the wounds he had procured just earlier once more, " Actually, i believe i should be going to the hospital to get these wounds patched up. Thank you for you time." He bowed quickly and turned his back towards the man, his mind cursing Kyomu for putting him in this situation. The kunai, while well timed to counter the first move made by Kosui, was an ill advised action against a torrent of wind that was heading one's general direction. It, along with the boy, flew helplessly back, with the weapon going off in some random direction that the Chunin didn't bother taking note of. The other kid, however, had been bushed back a good bit further though had managed not to bust his ass and actually protected a good portion of his face. The rest of him was covered in various cuts that were to be expected. Perhaps that had been a bit of over kill? Granted, the technique was average in strength but against a person who didn't even try and get out of the way well... the results spoke for themselves.
The bewildered look that the Chunin had worn moments before had once more appeared, though this time much stronger. Had that kid just... thanked him? The hell was going on with him? No counter or anything of the sort just... gratitude. Then came the weirdest part of all, the kid tried to up and leave for the hospital. After all that talk of wanting to gather intel and what not then... this. Kosui wasn't sure what to think, hell he was kind of pissed for having to waste chakra on something so trivial, but seeing as how he was going to train anyway then it didn't really matter, but still!
A lone hand rose to massage the bridge of his nose as a mixture of confusion and... more confusion washed over the boy. This had definitely not been the expected course of actions when Kosui woke up this morning but what was life without a few odd experiences to liven things up?

→ With the man's bewildered face behind him, he took his graceful leave as small drips of blood came from his face, arm, and legs. It did hurt, but a man only shows weakness when he should, and this was not one of those moments where weakness was beneficial, as such, he walked normally as if the cuts were non-existent, declaring he would venture to the hospital to get treated.
Whatever the case, this meeting of odds were over.
