Takezo had the mission statement in his hand and the nagging proprietor of which in his ear. The two walked down a long road towards a place Takezo had never been. In the north you’ll need to trim the grass to a single inch, not higher and don’t forget to weed it ad reseed it. The land to the west must be dig up and cultivated. Once it’s cultivated properly your to spread the seed, which can be found in the shed, you MUST be liberal with the seed, there mustn’t be bald spots. The East field will need to be cultivated as well, only now into rows and those rows must be seeded and fertilized, also in the shed. The south Field is be cultivated as well, there are a great deal of rocks in that field so be sure not to miss any sizable ones, But for now it’s just the north field. Were unsure of what’s to become of the rest so please leave it Be for the time being. the snooty woman just kept telling Takezo what she expected from the mission, in more condescending detail than necessary. He just nodded and kept pace and mental notes. He didn’t want to interrupt the long winded bastard. Takezo felt he was just making the job seem more difficult than it really was, so he seemed more important.
The man looked down at Takezo with as arrogant a tone and posture as Takezo had ever seen. The Hokage better know what he’s doing, sending one child for all this work? Not waiting for an answer the woman man just turned and opened a gate. Well, here it is. The work was contracted for the day, so I suggest you get to work. Remember, Just the north field With that the woman turned around and muttered about Takezo’s appearance and apparent aroma. Takezo was used to it by now so he just focused on the issue at hand. The large ass plot of overrun land that Takezo figured Time had forgotten. It was surrounded by mostly barren rocky lands. It was a bit of an enigma. In the middle of the whole this was a shitty little shack with a flimsy door, which is where the seed must have been kept. His first order of business was to divide and conquer.
The first part was the north lot; it would be the easiest for him. It was over grown with tall, thickly rich grass that was almost as tall as Takezo. He strolled over, kicking a rock giving the barron ground a test. The ground wasn’t going to be easy to break up but, he would get to that later. For now he needed to cut the giant grass. Luckily he was an Uchiha and thus well prepared for this particular job. With a quick flick of his wrist he sent Kunai along the perimeter. Another flick of his wrist sent more to ceate an obvious pattern. From his back he pulled his razor sharp Chakram, eyeing the grass with a smirk he threw the chakram low, an inch above the ground.
The 3 foot wide ring blade sliced through the grass easily, cutting in a straight line until it hit something with a loud metallic CLANG!! Then it changed Direction and cut a path towards Takezo. As it closed he times his grab to both capture and increase the speed of the weapon, spinning to facilitate the throws increased power. Luckily he was short or throwing it that low would be a much harder task. The ring sailed unerringly through the tall grass. The kunai again altered its direction with a loud CLANG. The noises came faster as Takezo kept up the momentum. In no time at all the grass was cut an even inch, revealing a stream that made it’s way through the edge . At this point it was obvious where the weeds were so Takezo caught his Chakram and set about the task of digging up the weeds.
Sadly there was no way he could use a ninjutsu to pick them so he set about the task himself. With a trusty kunai in hand he dug the weeds out at the root. The kunai worked well, breaking up the ground around roots with a few stabs, then easily enough gouge out weed at the root. The sun was in full effect, forcing Takezo to shed the top of his kimono, tying the ends around his waist. Even as his body get dirtier and sweater Takezo got more and more into what he was doing. He had a large pile of rooted up weeds tossed onto the barren west field. It took him more than an hour of digging but he eventually got all the weeds up, double checking to make sure. By the time he was done the once prehistoric patch of “jungle” was a neatly shorn path of grass with more holes than swiss cheese. He figured it would be easier to reseed the entire field to get even coverage and make it look better in the end.
So he went to the little shack and grabbed one of the many seed sacks, and did do as fast as possible. There was a surplus of fertilizer in that shed and it was RANK! Takezo used a tree branch he found as a rake to get the loose grass off and into a pile in the west field with the weeds . Then Takezo jumped all around the Field spinning kinai on ninja wire in each hand, letting seed spill out of holes he made in the sides of the bag he wore on his back. As he jumped the seeds fell out and as he spun his kunai the seeds were dispersed around him, quickly seeding the entirety of the northern field. After that was Done Takezo took a second and got water from a stream he found on the opposite side of the north lot. The water was cold and clear, everything he had hoped while he worked. He still had one more task, and of course it just happened to be the shittiest job possible.
Going back to the shed Takezo picked the 2 largest sacks of fertilizer he could carry and brought them over to the new plot of land. Takezo decided against just using his hands, he had a bad enough reputation. He also knew that he needed to get a good dispersal but not a coating, since it was just meant to help things grow and not smother them to death. Putting the bag on ninja wires and attaching it takezo would use the same strategy with this that he did with the cutting of the grass. Sending the chakram flying he also scattered the fertilizer all over the field. The clangs of metal chanced the direction but now Takezo had to move to get meet his weapon rather than it make it all the way to him, The weight of the bag slowing it down some.
Takezo had to catch and re-secure the bag a few times before it emptied. The field was only half done so Takezo grabbed the other bag and repeated the process. His chakram has fertilizer all over it ,which only helped to spread the crp, but it would need a washing before he did anything else. The hot sun was still high in the sky but it was definitely passed its high point. If takezo had to guess he would say he’d been at this for over 6 hours, with at least 4 of that being the digging up of weeds. It was an honest days work by anyone’s standard, and the giant pile of leaves and giant grass trimmings in the west field proved it. Catching his Chakram for the last time with his plot of land completely fertilized.
As Takezo went around the lot to admire and inspect the coverage ,he was finding that he was impressed and proud of his work. The land looked loved for the first time in an extremely long time, edged and covered in seed and shit. It wasn’t the prettiest at the moment but Takezo saw the lush field for what it would be and it was amazing. Walking to the stream he thought about what to do with the trimming, but first he was cleaning his chakram. It took him a good 20 minutes to get his chakram back to sparkling clean and presentable. Once that was done Takezo went over to the pile that was in every way larger than he was. With a few quick hand signs and a deep breath Takezo used his Fireball jutsu to incinerate the large pile of trimmings, scattering them to the wind. Takezo was sure he heard that carbon was good for plant growth someplace, though he couldn’t quite remember for sure.
Either way, the mission was done and there was only to collect his reward. He took one last skinny dip in the stream to clean himself off before heading back down the long path to tell the woman the job was done. He was still dripping wet under his kimono when he put the mission statement on her desk. Done Was all Takezo said, not sure what to say other than that. I will send someone out to look over it , in the meantime thank you for your hard work and I look forward to working with your Hokage. Her response was automated and insincere but he didn’t care, he just felt good about the job he did.
