This clan was made by those who favored the nastier arts of the ninja world. Genjutsu, the skill of illusions, and through such things the clan itself boomed and died off slowly with few members ever bearing the great skill and useful ability of genjutsu. This clan itself bore the mark for Mateki and in such useful desires those who bear the mark in their eyes through chakra are known to have enhanced genjutsu prowess.

Mateki Instruments
The origin of the Demon Flute came from this clan and the founders of such crafts. Demon Instruments are all granted to a child bearing the virtuoso mark and there in have an instrument specially crafted for them. The Mateki Instruments all coexist with their user's genjutsu skill and grant them titles to such grande musical desires.

• Those who start in this clan may choose to have a demon instrument of any make or model that they can start with having the stats up to their Individual Rank.

Historical Background:

After the first shinobi world war, when clans fought clans and were granted gifts to one another through betrayal or political gain, the clan of illusionists named "Curin" were Mateki wielders, being craftsmen of find instruments. Such instruments drove their users insane though unless they were genjutsu specialists like the makers of such instruments. The Curin Clan found themselves backalleyed in most places, their bidding normally held in or under the black market itself. The origins of such a clan was the coming together of three great genjutsu masters, two women and one male. However, upon choice, the male decided to wed only one of the women.

Upon such decision, the left behind woman created an instrument, a guitar, that was given to the husband as a wedding present. However such a gift was the betrayal, encrypted inside being the markings of the Mateki and in doing so killed both the newly weds in mark of death. Those who betray the clan normally find themselves turned onto and disolved by the very instruments they play. All meeting bad ends, this clan is highly known for illusionary methods and ever since the first shinobi world war, they have secretly gathered in their birthplace of Iwagakure and continue to gather "till death do we part" being the motto encrypted in all their markings and knowledge.
