X REASON FOR POSITION:

A leader is often chosen for their balance of power and wisdom. Usually, the latter is missing and it is said that with age and guidance would one develop this. Based on this, and the fact that Kouriai was the Raikage's closest confidant that the elders decided upon her as Sandaime Raikage. This decision however wasn't without criticism and hence, the woman had to get rid of the opposition in the most diplomatic way position. It would be incorrect to say that Kouriai took over self proclaimed. In fact, the woman contributed to the village in more than one way. A dedicated kunoichi throughout her life, Kouria's efforts were appreciated to the point that she was appointed Hanchou. Being trusted by the Raikage meant that she was privileged with knowledge and secrets of the village.The woman only felt it right that she took over from the Nidaime. Opposition was faced only due to her age and assumed lack of wisdom.

X POLITICAL STANDPOINT:

Women in power are both applauded and criticized. Criticized for it is thought that a woman's mercy and power to empathize often blurs their judgement. Applauded for the fact that it people think the same traits can be used for the betterment of a nation. Kouriai has probably turned out to be neither of the two. While her judgement is still quite vivid, the woman prioritizes her needs before the nations. This is not to say that the village is neglected. On the contrary, she works overtime for its betterment. However so, if the need arises - she would choose what benefits her or her close associates than the village.

The woman perhaps bothers a bit too much of the status and situation of other villages. So much that decisions she makes for her own are thought twice of with regard of foreign villages. This is not to say she cares of how they run, but rather, she cares for the developments that take place in those villages. Which comes to the point of alliances. The woman dislikes to think that Kumo is dependent on other nations. Rather she puts quite a bit of the nation's income in improving their military strength in both number and power. Alliances are of course considered during times of war, though these remain totally out of necessity or benefits gained. War on the other hand is a subject that she takes a hard time dealing with. Honor and benefits of Kumogakure is all she wishes and as of such, would be the only reason she would ever declare war on another nation.

X APPEARANCE:

► OVERALL

One quick look will already register the fact that Kouriai is rather elegant and young in appearance. She gives a rather noble vibe by how she presents herself . Even though she is thirty-six, her natural yet maintained features make her look somewhat ten to twelve years younger. Her skin is rather pale and wheatish. Her face is rather angular and probably what one would call 'heart shaped'. Dotting high cheek bones and board lips pastes a natural smile of her face at all times. Her hair is something of a wild fire, otherwise said to be an intense red. Thick fringes cover the forehead and her left eye. The beauty's eyes are as red as rowan berries with thick black mascara applied above it. Her lips are a bright pink with visible gloss applied on it.

Coming to her body, the woman isn't exactly lean. Rather adequate meat can be seen on her body - most of which is muscle. Even so, her body doesn't seem bulky and rather athletic. She weighs a decent one-twenty-eight pounds and stands rather tall at five feet nine inches. Her upper limbs are toned and carry quite a bit of muscle for a woman. For her age and stature, the woman has an adequately large bosom and a hourglass waist-line. Her long legs are quite toned as well and carry enough power to deliver a bone-break blow. Her large feet are closed inward and are a size six.

► IN VILLAGE

Known to be rather casual within the village, the woman dots clothes which are simple yet easy to move in. From the top, she dots a white formal shirt tucked out. This is worn with a long black skirt. The skirt [though opaque] has no frills or inner lining and instead a slit at one end. Under the skirt, the woman's legs are wrapped in bandages from her waist to just above her knees. Her footwear consists of standard military boots. Kouriai usually leaves her hair open and wild. Throw-able weapons are hung in a hip pouch on right while her Katana hangs in its scabbard on the left.
