The trees flew by, the branches whipping his face as he past. He didn’t bother taking the time to move them out of his way, the wild haired Uchiha was far too pre occupied to deal with that. His breath was labored and coming in rapid succession. His little body jumped over large roots and dodged tree trunks as he hauled ass through the forest. His legs pumped and pumped as he clawed with his hands claw the environment to try and go faster, Terror in his eyes. Takezo had done a silly thing in the name of training, something he more than likely should have thought through. He had tied fish to his body under his Kimono, to entice something to chase him; over confident in his ability to escape whatever decided to get with the program. Sadly for him, he over shot his goal and ended up with a full pack of 6 foot Feral dogs chasing him, and gaining. Takezo’s only saving grace was the fact that he was more graceful, or rather, he would be if not for the 50 pounds of fish he strapped to himself. They were under his kimono so he couldn’t get to them to untie them. HE could tell already this was a HUGE mistake.
Racing through the aptly named forest of death, or Training grounds 44, Takezo pushed himself to move faster. His body being weighed down by the slimy yet well secured fish made his much harder for him to run that he originally thought. Not to mention that the longer he ran the heavier it all seemed. Takezo had to find a way out but going the way he came wasn’t an option, unless he wanted to fight his way through a pack of giant dogs, Giant hungry dogs. He wasn’t supposed to be in there but his hubris and the comfy looking trees were too much to argue with. He thought it was just to scare the pussies away from here but it turned out it was a murderous hell that he was quickly becoming lost in. Each tree looked the same and with the dogs on his heels he didn’t have time to climb up a tree. It would be a short leap for dogs this size to snatch him right out of the air or off of the tree. No he had to be smarter than the gods, and use his size to his advantage, even with fish holding him down
Takezo had to dive and roll under a low arching root, the dogs couldn’t fit so he figured it would be a good chance to ditch at least a few of them. So without thinking he threw his little body into a forward dive, going through the arch then rolling to his feet to keep his momentum. Taking a chance to look back with a cocky grin, Takezo saw the front dog plow right through the root, crashing right through. That whipped the smile right off of Takezo’s face and made his heart race. For the first real time he didn’t know if he would actually be able to get away from these dogs with himself intact. The idea of the giant dogs tearing his little body to pieces spurred him to move faster, for the first time putting a little distance between him and the dogs.
Takezo’s bare little feet raced over rocks and leaves without a care to how they felt. He was far more worried about keeping what distance he could between him and the dogs. Though now with this improved position he may be able to make it up into the trees before they are were able to snatch his scrawny ass out of the air. Never one to think too many things through (hence his present situation) Takezo took to the air, jumping onto a tree and continuing to haul ass up the tree. As he ran he felt a rushing hot breeze followed by the loudest snapping sound Takezo had ever heard. He knew better than to look back but he could feel the slobber on his back from the vicious clamping of the dogs massive jaws. He just kept his legs moving upwards and hoped he would get respite in the branches of the tall trees.
Though as soon as he made it to the branches he was reminded of an old saying his Grandfather used to say. Shit in one hand and hope in the other and tell me which one fills faster. because as soon as he made it to the branches he noticed he was surrounded by a whole flock of new foes. The sound of flapping wings started a frenzy of caws, chirps and tweets. Takezo bolted through a murder of black wings that pecked and scratched at him with all the sharpness of a kunai or shuriken. Now bleeding from thin lines across his arms and various dots along his head Takezo kicked punched and swatted his way through the birds, knocking them to the ground for the hungry dogs.
The sound from below was unsettling to say the least, gasping caws and snarling chomps ignited a feeding frenzy below that seemed to not bother the birds at all. If Takezo had to think of a reason why they seemed so unfazed it would be just because they had the advantage of numbers. Even as Takezo sprinted through the tree tops, choosing to run around the tree trunks to avoid the birds that chased him. The fish weighing him down and he had no time to get the knots undone. He went out of his way to make sure they wouldn’t come undone by anything but intentional hands; he didn’t want them to fall off after all. How he regretted his hubris for forcing himself into the situation that only seemed to get worse.
As he ran through what seemed like endless flapping feathers he kicked and punched the birds to the ground. While this helped him with the birds it did cause the huge ass dogs to follow him though more dogs would stay and eat birds as he wend, thinning the pack little by little. Takezo was at his running on fumes and the blood loss not helping. He pushed himself forward, needing to go faster even if he only had the vaguest of ideas where he was going. He knew he was heading towards a wall by the visible tree line but he wasn’t 100% sure how far it was or if he could make it before he succumbed to exhaustion and his injuries. He raced against himself, pushing himself to move faster and faster. Is hands now wind milling the birds away as he ran for his life towards an unknown destination.
It took what felt like hours for him to actually see the wall he was looking for. He was wet with blood and sweat and his body was moving on sheer force of will. His legs burned but he knew if he stopped he would be pecked and torn to pieces. He had to run, he had to keep going. If he even slowed down he would be overcome by the hoarding birds that followed him and the dogs that followed them, though by now that was only one or two. Taskezo saw his goal and that filled him with hope. He made one last mad dash for the wall and his heart sank at what he saw. He reached the wall just to find no opening for him to escape, the fence was locked from the other side and sealed for security.
Takezo could only remember the vicious barking and then a violent feline snarl. The birds cawed and a few dropped to the ground. The remaining dogs grabbed one and left yelping with his tail between their legs. When Takezo looked he saw black cat with tufts of violent Orange fur highlighting his body at various points. With a tiny kitten grin he clawed Takezo with quick, precise slashed and then squiggled over Takezo’s near lifeless body, stealing the fish he had secured to him. thanks forrrr the Fish. Your Prrrretty fast forrr a 2Leggerrrr the kitten laughed as he carried away all 50 pounds of the fish. Takezo was soon met by a Chunin patrolling the forest, which immediately got him sent to the medics unit.
