Chakra Conversion
Chakra Conversion is exactly what it sounds like, but in amounts. It is no more than converting a percentage of chakra from one Rank of Chakra Reserves to a corresponding percentage in a different Rank of Chakra Reserves. On NRE, it's divided into two classifications: Chakra Transfer and Chakra Absorption.
Both terms can be taken literally. Thus Chakra Transfer refers to transferring chakra from one source to another, and Chakra Absorption refers to absorbing it from another source. They're essentially opposites in every sense, as one willfully gives while the other forcefully takes. They are used in particular situations.
Chakra Transfer:
- Bijuu[Generic Ability]
- Jinchuuriki[May acquire this ability from the Bijuu]
- Samehada[To whomever it likes]
- Medical Ninjutsu[Basis for Healing via chakra]
- Fuuinjutsu[Only certain seals]
- Juinjutsu[Only certain cursed seals]
- Rinnegan[In some cases]
Chakra Absorption:
- Takigakure Experiment[Touch]
- Samehada[Feeds on chakra]
- Kekkei Genkai[Senninka] Spec[Tissue Assimilation]
- S-Rank Kekkei Genkai[Mokuton]
- Fuuinjutsu[Only certain seals]
- Juinjutsu[Only certain cursed seals]
- Rinnegan[In some cases]
So how do they work? For the sake of not over-complicating things beyond the possibility of RP, we've created a simple universal formula along with its conjugate for two different situations applicable to both Chakra Transfer and Chakra Absorption: the Giver having higher Chakra Reserves and the Receiver having higher Chakra Reserves.GCR = Giver's Chakra Reserves
RCR = Receiver's Chakra Reserves
R% = Received Percentage[To RCR]
D% = Deducted Percentage[From GCR]
RD = Rank Difference[Between Both CR's]GCR > RCR:
R% = D% + [(2/5)RD]D%
GCR < RCR:
R% = D% - [(2/5)RD]D%
NOTE! The "Difference" in "Rank Difference" doesn't refer to an actual subtraction difference. No subtraction will ever be made for knowing the "Rank Difference" -- it will simply be the amount of Ranks that it takes to get from GCR to RCR or vice-versa (e.g RD of A-Rank and C-Rank will always be 2, RD of S-Rank and D-Rank will always be 4, etc).
So for example...GCR = A-Rank
RCR = C-Rank
R% = TBA
D% = 20
RD = 2In this case it's GCR > RCR so the formula is:
R% = D% + [(2/5)RD]D%
Lets substitute the variables.
R% = 20 + [(2/5)2]20
Now solve it.
R% = 20 + [4/5]20
R% = 20 + 16
R% = 36
The Received Percentage which is added to the Receiver's Chakra Reserves is 36%.
This is based on the idea that there is a "40% difference" between each Skill Rank of anything (hence the [2/5]), though the numbers in the Chakra Consumption System may not follow the trend. Don't worry about that - we're not expert mathematicians and we just want you to know the simple equation so that you may properly convert chakra during Transfer and Absorption.
Also keep in mind that depending on the ability being used to Transfer or Absorb Chakra, their specific guidelines may or may not abide by the basic Chakra Conversion formula. Any such differences are kept within the guidelines of exceptions which are always found within the Staff Board, but they can be publicly viewed in the profiles of characters who have these things.
