Kitetsu has a 23" blade with a 13' handle. The hilt is black with red diamonds running down the center, while the blade itself has the slightest tint of red that darkens slightly in direct light. It has a standard guard, a small rectangle that is 3'x6". There are some nicks on the guard and scabbard, but the blade itself is pristine. A small signet is emblazoned on the side of the sheath, but it is of unknown origin. All in all, it looks very much like a common katana- but it is anything but.

Cursed Blade

The blade comes from a small village within the Land of Iron, where it was created by an average blacksmith who had not a single mote of fame to his name. How he managed to craft such a fine blade was never discovered, as the blacksmith took his own life shortly after the blade was created. Such was the fate of all who came to possess the sword, some just took longer than others...

Spiritual Destruction

Kitetsu has a single unique ability that sets it apart from other blades. When the sword inflicts a fatal injury, it will rip the soul from the victim's body and absorb it, preventing the victim from being healed or revived by any means. An absorbed soul will become permanently bonded with the blade after three days. If the sword is ever broken, it will release any and all souls stored within it that have not been bonded and this ability will be rendered inert until the blade is repaired. As souls are metaphysical, there is no limit to the number of souls that the sword can hold. The more souls that are taken, the stronger the blade's curse will become, slowly twisting and perverting the user's body into a monstrous state similar to the Curse Seal, however any modifications are purely cosmetic and will not grant any kind of additional abilities.
