→ Step. Step. Step. Leap. Land. Dash. Step. Step. His legs moved like rapid fire gunfire. It was a habit of an ANBU to move fast, but not only fast, but silently. It was as if he didn't have just one second nature, but a third, fourth, fifth, and sixth. Every single one of his skills has been etched into his head over and over, and with the death of his parents recently, those memories, those delectable memories of happiness, were replaying like a broken record for days. He hadn't been able to sleep, insomnia due to mental trauma? Perhaps, but he just didn't feel like he needed to sleep. Albeit, it didn't start two years ago, no, it started recently, just a week. Perhaps a day extra. Was he losing track of time as well?
Leap. Land. Dash. Step. Step. Leap. Front Flip. Land. Dash. Perhaps he was. Things weren't as clear as they once was, but the ANBU has helped him stall his emotions, to the point where he felt numb, inside, like, was life supposed to occur in such a way for him to feel this way? Was this god playing around with individuals happiness? Was it because he held happiness and others did not, as he utilized his shinobi skills to take others life away and place despair and sadness into their loved ones? It could've been many reasons, whatever the reason, he felt he deserved this torture.
Step. Step. Stop. He stopped, hiding behind a tree trunk in the shadows - as standard protocol when you recognize someone who was a missing ninja. It had only been two weeks since his traitorous rebel action that lead to murders, rapes, and tears of others. Takayami Izaki. He could vaguely remember the days where he was a loyal shinobi, much like himself, and before the name wasn't important, but upon his defection, his name was sin incarnate. It was surprising that someone he knew, from the past, before the accident, could do such a thing as the things explained by him. Standard protocol was to mark his location and venture back to the village with information to send a squadron to track him, but there was a side protocol that if one believed they possessed physical skills, that they end the threats life before more calamity could follow in its wake. He wasn't confident. He should go back to the village and report this, but...he didn't. He was going to end him.
However, he wanted to know why

→ How much time had passed? Days? Months? Years, even? It was so hard to tell... when your mind was too focused. Covered in a black cloak, his green bangs stuck out from underneath the hood and his golden eyes scanned the all so familiar cards laid out in front of him with various designs upon them. He was sitting in a small open area in the forest. Trees surrounded him but for the most part, he was surrounded by the lovely short green grass of the open plain.
→ Takayami Izaki. That was his name. His past consisted of memories that he seemed to have forgotten already. Murder? Rape? Carnage? Who knows. All he knows is that he was a nuke nin now... but he did not mind that. All he did in the past, if he could remember it or not, was justified. It was meant to be. It was part of his...
→ Destiny.
→ Destiny. That was his driving factor. That was his motivation. That was his reason to live. Izaki only believed in the power of destiny. Everyone had a certain fate assigned to them and that fate had to be completed. Everything that ever happens is due to an already determined destiny. The crimes he committed? That was all part of his destiny. Every action that has ever been done by any mortal has all been orchestrated through fate which had been crafted by the gods of heaven upon man's creation. This was fate. This was his destiny.
→ So why was he just sitting here? Why was he sitting here for the past few weeks, near Kumogakure, especially after his actions. Destiny. He knew that his destiny was to sit there and wait for a certain someone. That someone would definitely come to the area and it was Izaki's destiny to kill him. So he waited. No sleep. No food. And yet his motivation to fulfill his destiny kept him going.
→ Orphan. Emotion. Death. These were the tarot cards that Izaki kept on drawing. The Tarot cards were how Izaki interpreted his thread of fate. An Orphan will come who will be filled with unstable emotion and will then come to his death. This was determined by the hands of God and they will be carried out... by his faithful servant.
→ Izaki looked up at the sky, closing his eyes, and took in the smell of the air. He was here. He could hear the faint heartbeats of the man. Izaki was excited to fulfill his destiny. His mouth shifted into a crooked smirk, an evil grin, as a killing intent radiated from his every pour in the form of a dark green aura, before retreating back inside. He got up from his seated position, dropping his tarot cards on the floor. The tarot cards scattered into a random pattern, all face down, except for three cards: Orphan. Emotion. Death.
→ "Kurosai Ryūzen. Your destiny... will soon be fulfilled. You will have completed the thread of fate. Come on out, orphan, and face... " He opened his golden eyes. "...your destiny."

→ Inhale. Exhale. His breathing was subtle and stable within the confides of his ANBU Mask, not even the spirits of the tree he hid behind would be capable of hearing, and he was proud of this ability. It was indeed an accomplished skill to acquire as a shinobi, and moreso appreciated as an ANBU operative. Which is what he was here, this moment, as today - An ANBU official. He donned on the attire, the mask, and the ability to dislocate his feelings. Right now, he stood not as Kurosai Ryūzen, but as a faceless soldier of Kumogakure with total loyalty. This ideology of obligation, despite regulations, is why he wanted to affirm his belief, albeit going completely against what it means to be an ANBU.
It was all too easy to achieve a state of events when his presence was recognize. Inside his mask, his eyes widened to moons, not in fear, but in utter surprise. He'd watched Takayami Izaki's movement until now and there's no solid way he could've found out his location. Adding more to his surprise, he was incapable of recollecting whether Izaki had sensor prowess in his file, but even if he didn't, now it would make total sense that he did. A sensory shinobi presented numerous problems. Wait. His eyes went from moons to almost as if it'll pop from his head. How did he identity me? Was Izaki's sensor prowess that advanced, or perhaps, no, to believe in conspiracy such as a set-up by your own village was beyond him. The only logical conclusion left without a doubt was Izaki being a highly adapt sensor, capable of differentiating chakra signatures from those he previous interacted with. To think Izaki developed such a talent. It was a Kage-Level Talent indeed.
Destiny. The rest of Izaki's words were later processed in his mind, as the surprise of both insane facts had eclipsed his words of destiny. Inhale. Exhale. Hiding was pointless at this point. A leap outwards from his hiding placed him several meters[17meters] away from Izaki within the clearing. His demonic mask glinted in the sunlight that bathed the plains.
"Takayami Izaki, by order of Kumogakure. I shall permit you only death for your heinous acts of treason and murder." His words spoken in such an official tone that it seemed not of his own, "however, before your end," he hesitated to ask, "why?" It felt premature to ask that as well as feeling a sense of betrayal of his village simply by asking such a question. His curiosity seemed to trump whatever sense of obligation of "kill first, ask question after" passed down as regulations in killing a nukenin.

→ Destiny stepped out. Standing a few meters away from Izaki stood the black clothed man with a menacing mask and orange hair. Orange hair. That was the key. That was the signature distinct feature of Kurosai Ryūzen, but Izaki knew not this. He had only heard the name in passing and had never actually heard of the man. But he just knew. Destiny told him that this was that same exact man and this area... will be his burial site.
→ "why?"
→ Izaki placed his right palm upon his face and turned his upwards towards the skies, his grin breaking apart into a laughter. He laughed. Uncontrollably. For a good 30 seconds before stopping and bringing his head down, looking straight at the masked man, his left golden eye piercing through his fingers.
→ "Why? What a simple question and for that simple question, it only needs a simple answer. Destiny. The threads of fate had been intertwined in such a manner that had forced me to play out the role that I did. I have no regrets because I was born to do exactly that. Nothing could have stopped the hands of fate. Everything happens for a reason and at that moment, that was my reason."
→ He dropped his hand from his face and looked down at the grass, letting his body sway slightly from side to side. Flashbacks raced through his mind. Images of him as a child, running home, towards his family, and then blackness. He clenched his fists.
→ "Destiny calls upon your death. Join your family in the afterlife."
→ He suddenly looked up, took a breath and jumped into the air. He swung out his left arm, sending down Ouroboros [B-Rank Bukijutsu | 5x Kunai Speed | Distance: 17.26m] upon the masked man, aiming to wrap around the man's legs and then pull him down. As the hook and chain soared through the sky, Izaki pulled out two kunai, throwing one towards the masked man and saving one in his hand.
→ The Orphan tarot card was picked up by wind and flew through the air, slapping itself upon a tree branch. An image flashed through Izaki's mind. An image... of a family picture of him and his family which then burns away.

→ His question was received as nothing more than a joke, it seemed, as Izaki let loose a long-winded, loud and uncontrollable, maniacal filled laughter into the air for about 30 seconds or so. If it wasn't for his ANBU training of dislocating emotion, he would've surely taken the first step into plunging a kunai into his heart through the escapade, but knowing this, it could've been a trapped to lure him in through psychological warfare and baiting tactics - something he was keen on utilizing - and as such, remained where he was with just a tight grip of his fist.
After such tiring laughter, Izaki placed his hand upon his face allowing for his unique set of golden eyes to see between his fingers. At this point, the man truly did look like someone who had lost his mind in Kurosai's eyes. Then Izaki begin to speak, answering Kurosai's simple question with an ideological belief of destiny and fate. His eyes opened wide within his mask as the very notion of believing that someone would ruin their lives based purely on impulse, and then blaming said impulse as a pre-destined occurrence in the world was simply insane. Izaki bored into Kurosai's three of the top five things he hated about individuals. However, somewhere in his mind, somewhere deep within his subconscious, he believed it, this was why he hesitated to attack as Izaki finished, this is why he questioned his motives up till now. It would be so easy to simply blame destiny, and rely on it...so easy.
His mind flash-backed to the day of his chūnin graduation and the day he was told by an individual whose face he'll never forget that his mother and father died. Was it truly destiny that they die in such a ridiculous manner? Could they, or he, or anyone, not stop their deaths? He softly shock his head as his focus was brought about Izaki's next words.
"Destiny calls upon your death. Join your family in the afterlife."
His mind that was previous engulfed in disbelief and confusion was filled with pure anger and hatred for the man that stood before him. It wasn't because of Izaki justifying the deaths, rapes, and defection upon destiny or so-called pre-determined fate. It wasn't because he threatened his life. No, it was simply due to him saying one simple thing, because Kurosai's mind could only think of that.
"You have no right to even speak of my family!" His unbridled raged seeped from every pore of his existence, and all his training of maintaining his emotions collapsed upon a mixture of confusion, disbelief, acceptance, rage, and hatred. The object that came to him was incredibly fast, however, the distance he allowed himself to obtain, and his own physical speed allowed him to react, leaving the black cloak that once donned upon and revealing his battle attire set for upon. Similar to this, but covering every part of his body, without the bandage, and the mask is different..
If the object was still aiming towards him, it'll pierce or grab the cloth that possessed nothing but an explosive tag placed upon its back, while he, jumped further to side - about 6 meters - and continued to run to encircle the target, and it'll...
EXPLODE!
"Mi!" He said as it let loose a violent explosion that would cause the most damage within its immediate surroundings and extend, slowly weakening, till it got to 5 meters in distance. Kurosai had a nasty habit of declaring the names of his hand seals when executing, and albeit he tried to restrain himself, not once could he resist.
He grabbed a kunai from his pouch, gripped it into his right hand and begun to close to distance between himself and Izaki in a linear dash- enticing a close-combat situation.

→ Piercing through the wind of the soft air, Ouroboros' snake head was aiming down towards the masked warrior but to no avail. The masked man was indeed fast, having escaped his cloak and jumping towards to the side, 6 meters away and then starting to run to encircle Izaki. Speedy but Izaki could react to it. He swung out his right arm, sending down another Ouroboros [6.0x] towards a nearby tree which then pulled the man down towards the ground at a fast pace, as he recalled back his left hand Orouboros [which grabbed the thrown kunai on the way back], dodging the explosion of the cloak.
→ As he landed on the ground near the tree and retracted the hook, he noticed that his opponent was already running towards him, kunai drawn in hand. Izaki had a kunai in either hand and spun them around his fingers, waiting for his opponent to get close.
→ "No right? Indeed I don't, because whatever that may have happened to them... were all because of fate. It was their destiny to die and it was your destiny to be orphaned. Likewise, it is your destiny to die today and my destiny to kill you. Everything is controlled by the threads of fate which have been sewn together by the hand of God."
→ Destiny. That was all that Izaki cared about or needed to care about. Streams of images flashed through his mind, showing him his past in which after the death of his parents, Izaki was adopted by a fortune teller who then taught him how to tell fortunes through tarot cards. The fortune teller raised Izaki as his own but Izaki always remembered his parents and tried to find a way to process their deaths.
→ Izaki gripped his kunai and as the masked man approved him, he swung out, matching his right kunai with the man's kunai while thrusting the kunai in his left hand towards the man's stomach.

→ His tactic proved to no avail. He wasn't thinking correctly. His mind narrowed to get away from the constant confusion from attempting to comprehend Izaki's words, and deciding whether to decline its truthfulness or accept it, in turn lead to his unstable state. His normal tactics consisted of analytical deductions based on the opponents arsenal, skills, and weaknesses, and then attempting to adjust his battle strategy towards those deductions. This was not a moment that his normal tactics had taken the helm upon his mind-set, no, if it had, he wouldn't be engaging his opponent into a close-combat situation as he was now.
~KLANG!~
His Kunai met with the Izaki's allowing sparks to fly, and as if on natural instincts, his free-hand gripped the fist that clenched onto Izaki's secondary kunai aiming towards his stomach, stopping it in his tracks, but his eyes remained on the rogue with intensity. His words were delicately retrieved from before, but now was the time to respond while they met in a physical stalemate. From within his mask he spoke,
"You act like you're capable of reading Destiny, capable of knowing your future, including my own, or do you just believe that whatever happens is just Destiny. When is it that you have free-will to decide your fate? Why does some invisible GOD decide that for you? IF you take your life, it's destiny? If you don't, it's destiny. You're living in a world where you're using destiny as nothing but a crutch to satisfy your delusional and sadistic tendencies!!" he wondered if he could, it donned on to him with a shock of him capable of knowing destiny, reading destiny, if so, if destroy did exist, why should people have freewill or was it simply an illusion? Was it destiny that made him into an ANBU? Was it destiny that he ate ramen for breakfast? Was it destiny that he met this man in this place, instead of following regulations and resorted to combat? It is almost seemed to convenient, cause no matter what, there's no way to disprove destiny, or is there?
His hands gripped Izaki's fist tighter, he wanted his words to reach him, he wanted him to ANSWER.
