Orie traveled quite some time from her old home, the home of which she called her anchor point of the mountains. The cave that she birthed into a new being. Being someone completely different in all manner of speaking. Indeed, she was not one to truly be discouraged by the losses she caused of Konoha four years ago, but she knew they would never forget. Konoha never forgets the traitors it has and she knew that she would be one whom is never forgotten until she was dead. However, her training with the retired Shodai Hokage has kept her alive for all this time and for that, she would keep on trudging with her life. To maintain the order and stability she had with her since she was first introduced to training with the First. The flow of time was like the steps she took, traversing through the land of wind until coming across the lone place she had to figure out. Moving through the backwards alleyways to manage the successful scouting of what she needed to do here. This place that Sunagakure had started living in, colonization it had seemed was the priority here while Orie had not truly committed to memory the full details, and she only knew that it was unjust in her belief.
Umeda Orie would jump, her body moving upwards with the speed of the jump as she dashed along two separate walls, making way upwards to manage her foothold to then place her on a high roof. Her eyes peered out, looking over this city, this mechanical ruin while she would witness and watch with a calm intellect of what was around her. She had her senses on full alert, her eyes scanning and ears ready to pick up any trace of an attack. She was in enemy territory, or rather any place that was not Ryūchi Cave was enemy territory for she was the only surviving summoner of snakes who knew where Ryūchi cave was just to keep it out of Konoha’s hands or rather any place of the sort. She had her methods, she had her time to regret and repent for what grief she caused but now, she knew only so much could be done anymore. That is why she came to Amegakure, to possible rally in some recruits to attack Konohagakure, and for one she knew they would like to end the lives of the settlers of Sunagakure here, however that would come in time. That was the plan after all. Word Count: 421 Words Chakra Reserves: 100%

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] Hold your hands into the sky Pray for mercy, instead of time Low budget movies, change our low budget lives There's something to corsets and horror that joins our lonesome minds And these bloody faces with their bloody knives Say if we ever make it We'll be so bloody tired of these times Hold your hands into the sky You are the massacre, the masochist, the tease And you're captivating , standing in front of me The ruins of her beloved village were as silent as ever, and that is to say - not at all. Perched on top of the mostly-intact building that was the above-ground indicator of her underground bunker, she could hear the myriad whispers of the wind as it passed through shattered panes of glass and empty space where walls had once been. She could see the dark clouds gathering to blot out the blue sky, as they did nearly every day and had since this place had first existed, or so she would assume. And when the rain began to fall, she felt the cold drops slide across her warm skin, as if the heavens themselves still wept for what had once been, what could have been, and now, what never would be.
And there she sat, immobile, letting the rain pour down upon her and soak into her very pores. As the heavens wept, they cleansed her, freed her momentarily from the heavy burden she would carry each and every day until she reached transcendence - the burden of being tainted, a vessel for the impurity of the human soul, the parasitic existence which ravaged not only the earth they lived upon but others who also bore the terrible burden of knowing they were eternally damned as well. Her scars were proof enough that human beings as they were were not the pinnacle of existence - that a father would lower himself enough to torture his own flesh and blood for the sake of his own ambitions spoke volumes.
Eventually the rain taped off, going from a strong downpour to a mere drizzle, and Tera was soaked through to the bone, and chilled, yet still she did not make a move to retreat down into the place she called her home. She stood, cold magenta eyes staring out towards the horizon as another human being came into view, leaping over rooftops with such skill that Tera could tell she was no stranger to the arts of the shinobi. What such a being would be doing here, in the ruins of the once-proud village of Amegakure, was a mystery to her. Only she and a few others claimed territory here, and venturing out in pursuit of one of the ghost village's inhabitants was an unwise move indeed. And as far as she knew, no one was even aware of her own location.. perhaps another rogue seeking solace in the ruins of a forgotten place?
And so Tera moved to meet her, for now she could see clearly that it was a her, in an attempt to find out whether or not this red-headed rogue came for peace or for destruction. If it would be the latter, then she would do what she had to to retain her measure of security. After all, who better to know destruction and carry it out than destruction's angel herself?
"You are trespassing. Speak in your own defense or action will be taken." It was a simple warning, and clear enough. Tera did not kill, not any longer, but all the same she had no qualms with making death possible, or even likely. In a world where it was rare enough to be left to your own solitude, she did not take intrusions kindly. Orie had stopped, her eyes peering as she would only smile, her ears picking up the movements of in individual coming to greet her. Or rather, warn her, as it would turn out. Orie herself would only calm her mental expectation and appreciation of what she could figure out with a calm degeneration of what she could figure out. Her ears picking up that individual while a small expanse of rain that had begun drizzling came to cover her. The ideal placement of her feet as she would then turn to face this individual. Her hand placed upon her scroll as if she were a samurai putting a hand onto a sword, it was the primordial warning that held much story to it. Orie holding the scroll of purple and black, the colors of which signified the scroll itself while being the ideal contract scroll as well. Granted she did not necessarily need to put her hand onto the scroll to summon, but the fact that she could summon out of air was not a necessary need to understand yet. She smiled, her eyes watching calmly as she would move her face up, to look directly into the direction, and face of the person she had faced now.
A calm smile to her face, the significance behind her very necessary understanding of who she was. Her hand stayed calm and steady while she would face this individual with a collective understanding of her, the main proximity of what she could become of who she is. Her body was poised however, she did not aim to attack, never did she hope to attack without due cause. This person so far did not seem weak to her, there was no reason for her to attack without necessity to her voice or name currently. That was always the famed expression with need however she could only keep a calm sense as to who she was. Her face calm and with a distinctive voice she spoke with a calmness, “I am here merely for passing through, no real cause of alarm unless you are hoping for there to be.” Orie would smile, her demonic glance steady, as she would only grin with subtleness to her nature. She would not attack, there was no need to at this current time, however if provoked then there would indeed be cause to it. Her smile only etched to her face to keep a certain prose and con about her.
Orie would nod her head with a following greeting, and since there was someone who did not appear weak completely she would not strike at the mouse. Her voice sounded past the sprinkling rain, “I am Umeda Orie of Ryūchi Cave.” Granted if one were to look close enough, the etched off emblem of the Leaf Village on her head band adorned to hold her scroll like a sash proved she was no friend of Konoha. All the while the name of Ryūchi, if one were ever familiar with it aside from the snake summoners, would already know some of what Orie could perform. Her eyes watching, her ears listening, and nose picking up scents incase of any attack. Today was not a day to die, where as if it were anything else she would hope and pray they just leave her the hell alone, she has been around too many instances when one would aim to play a hero, only to be beaten down like a ragged dog later. It was the calm fatalities of the life one would or could lead and for that, Orie kept herself in a steady zone of defensive stasis.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] Hold your hands into the sky Pray for mercy, instead of time Low budget movies, change our low budget lives There's something to corsets and horror that joins our lonesome minds And these bloody faces with their bloody knives Say if we ever make it We'll be so bloody tired of these times Hold your hands into the sky You are the massacre, the masochist, the tease And you're captivating , standing in front of me It did not seem that the intruder had intended to intrude at all. She approached Tera with a smile on her face and a calm demeanor that gave no indication that she had known this expanse of territory was claimed or that she wished to do battle with its inhabitant. That was good. It meant that her presence here was still largely unknown, unless the woman standing before her was ignorant of the world at large. Which was, of course, entirely possible - she herself had little knowledge of what had gone on the past four years, as she had been hidden away in her bunker, immersing herself in research.
Tera watched the woman's hand move to her scroll, and shook her head slightly. "You are in no danger here if you do not come to spill blood." she assured the redhead, a small smile gracing her face. She did not want needless bloodshed, and she did not want her own hand to be forced, to lower herself to committing an atrocity, no matter how fair and just it seemed to human beings. Breaking her vow would just take her further and further away from transcending the human condition. "I am not death's harbinger, though I am an existence to be feared. You need not worry while in my domain, for if you need shelter or protection I will grant it." Likely the woman would not realize how generous Tera's offer was; these parts held many dangers, and many rogues that were not as peaceable as she was. "I am the enemy only of the human condition as it stands."
She took a step back, removing herself from the redhead's personal space, and offered her a polite bow - an indication of her goodwill, or more accurately, her lack of ill will - for she did not particularly care about the well-being of this individual other than wishing for her to leave this place alive instead of as a corpse.
"Umeda Orie of Ryuuchi Cave... Neither the name or the place are familiar to me. Hm. Perhaps I speak incorrectly. The place sounds familiar, but I cannot recollect why at this moment in time. If I am not being too invasive, would you care to tell me more of this Ryuuchi Cave?" she asked, brow furrowed as she contemplated why she would have heard the name before. Certainly it was back in a darker time, before she had come by the knowledge of the path to enlightenment. Those memories grew fainter and fainter as she moved steadily towards that destiny, and so to had the name Ryuuchi Cave faded with time. "Pardon me for not introducing myself sooner. You may call me Tera, and that is all you need to know of me for now. This place is both my origin and my home, despite the sorry state of it." Orie nodded calmly, knowing that if anything, she needed not her hand on the scroll to perform summoning, it was the joy of being her personal self in all things, the joy of being a sage of snakes as it would be. She had always held an aptitude for summoning ninjutsu and her snakes only proved that much more fruitful in the favor of the being known as where she now lives verses where she resided in the past. The four years spent in Ryūchi cave were hallow, the very nurturing breath she had when she lived there was a care taker for the snakes and trainer between her two personal summons. One being a gigantic summon fathered by a very much so smaller snake. Yes, the fact she had lived by these two were all the more so in the nature of needed to reside in the factors of what she could or could not accomplish in the abilities she lay present in her own aptitude of homeliness and ability. Her mindset all but lacking the nurture for children of her own kind. At least with snakes: it was easy, feed them and move them around and they would be happy. It was all she had to know in her life.
Orie moved her hand away, watching this woman bow in a greeting, her ears picking up that name later on as Tera. Yes, the name was unique as the maker itself. A resident of this land as well, a resident of the origin to the old Amegakure legends while Orie’s old master burned into her mind. She was his only surviving student and that only proved more so necessary by the caves she lives in currently matched by the summoning of the snakes. However, Orie had no qualms with letting someone understand that Ryūchi cave was unlike any place one could be familiar with on a personal level unless they went there themselves. Jojo herself was happily one of those who had gone there and learned from the snakes. She would bow her head to this woman, her response likewise to the pardon as she would say, “It is not too much to ask while initially one would normally keep pressing the issue as to why one would pass through a territory such as this. Nonetheless, I care not. Ryūchi Cave is the home to snakes and their summoner. It was once home to the mighty summoner who also happened to be the first Hokage.”
Orie said it calmly yet also matter-of-factly. She cared not for her surroundings, actually, it was because of her surroundings that she said it that way. It was a manner of belief in her own system of fellowship that she would happily express with kind will and grace that she was the student. “Now since his passing, it now has become home to me.” She breathed a calm system out of her, yet her senses were always on high alert, especially in this territory as it proved dangerous to many. The assurance that this Tera gave to her were not something she could openly trust in any case, so she would aim and foresee to herself that she could effectively learn and maintain a grace to herself in such natures. A nature that she could hope to keep in full stride and swing in any case of the plan. Orie felt the rain, it was almost reminiscent to the dropping of many snakes in that cave as well, yet that too proved ever pointless in the manner of remembering things in this current place and time.

Either the woman was stronger than she appeared, or she was simply ignorant of danger. Tera cocked her head to the side and frowned slightly. "Real terror is not the sight of death, it is the fear of death. What is the fear of death? Terror of the unknown. Is it these eyes you peer into?" She stepped forward, searching for an answer in the woman's eyes. Seemingly satisfied, she nodded. "No, I am not the unknown... or am I, and you are simply fearless?" she asked. She had been unable to determine the truth of the matter through observation. Umeda Orie was an interesting woman indeed.
"So long as you do not intend to cause me harm, I do not care why you are here." Tera told her with a slight shrug. "I do not own the land. I cannot stop you from crossing it if you so wish, so why should I bother trying to get the reason out of you?" In all honesty, Tera was intruding here as much as Orie was - the land belonged to one of the major villages now, if she remembered correctly.
"A snake summoner... I do not have a good history with your kind." Tera murmured, frowning. She knew that the woman was not necessarily like the other summoner she had met, such a long time ago, but... She could not help but be nervous that this woman would have the same instincts as the other, however much she wished to be unbiased. Clearing her throat, she took another step beck, and seemed to consider just walking away from the redhead. But at the last moment she reconsidered, and cast a glance back at her. "Would you like to get out of the rain for a while? Have some tea?" WORDS: three hundred thirteen TAGS: orie NOTES: 1346 LYRICS: the tease by evans blueCREDIT: akemi of btn |
