→ Chūnin, Task Force Member, Konohagakure Shinobi, Uchiha Clan Member, Male, and homosapien was all that the man who walked in the middle of the street of Konohagakure could be defined as. The people who glanced at him knew, and he acknowledged his role, as a protector, a lapdog of the people, and fodder for war. Those who believe they'll live through all encounters were the pinnacle of weak minded, and a dreamer - something he despised with all his being. He gave a smile to this insufferable individuals that walked passed, some acknowledging him with greetings, and he replied in kind, but underneath...they were all weak. They had no right to smile, to be happy, and enjoy life so blissful, yet, strong can not possess the same composure...they actually had a reason to live...a way to continue living. If someone invaded the village, all these people would just die. Their life being snuffed out like an insignificant dull light in a room of bright ones.
If it wasn't for his title, his title, would he be here? Has other has the same ideology as him, same philosphy, and resorted to being a rogue who lives only for themselves. That is also weak. The strong exist to protect the weak, the stronger exist to destroy the strong who protects the weak, and the strongest is capable of protecting everything and destroying anything that attempts to take life. That who he was - the strongest. This is why he wore his full armory no matter his location, not only to always be prepared in times of war, but because he's the strongest.
His stroll finally came to an end at the local outside ramen shop, he as hungry and his stomach with a loud growl proclaimed it loudly. He pushed the upper banner that covered the majority of inside from the outside besides the chairs, "One All-Meat Ramen." He declared. To clarify what an All-Meat Ramen was, it was a special order where it included ramen and 5 varieties of different meat, including pork, beef, chicken, shrimps, and a mystery yet incredibly delicious type of meat.
He sat down and let the auroma calm his stomach as it waited for the food to be prepared, savoring everything about it, and despite being the strongest - a man needed to eat.

Satori needed a drink, and fast. First a woman came in to complain that her daughter was kidnapped, but it turned out that she'd just eloped with some farmer boy out in the country side. So that was a huge waste of time. Then a woman came in with a bruised eye and claimed that her boyfriend abused her only for it to turn out that she'd actually been abusing him and he only accidentally hit her the once when a vase fell on her after she slammed him into a wall. So they ended up arresting the person who came in to file the complaint. Then they had to go patrol the city because of a single unfounded report of Kumo ninja prowling around for God knows why. It was just a long day, and Satori wanted it to end as quickly as possible. To facilitate that desire, as soon as his work day was over, he headed for a nearby restaurant to grab some alcohol that would calm his nerves. The place he chose was only a short distance from the district that the Keimu Butai HQ was located, which is precisely why he chose the small ramen shop. It was close, it was decent, and best of all, it was cheap. Satori brushed aside the banners hanging from the edge of the building's outcropping with one hand while briskly stepping inside, not missing a beat. He heard another man's order- for a meat-filled ramen bowl, and decided that he could have a quick word with him. Sato moved to sit beside the other Uchiha before addressing the man behind the counter, "A small bottle of plum sake and plate of steamed cabbage, if you would.". With the order out of the way, he turned his head towards the boy sitting beside him and offered a slight smile, "Too much protein isn't good for you, you know. There should be some greens with that." He shrugged slightly and waved a finger, adding, "Cabbage is good for indigestion, you know? A lot of nutrients there." His voice tapered off when he finished speaking. Just when exactly did he get this old? He was sounding like an eighty year old man... → His hunger grew insanely, and his stomach grew restless. It attacked him. He placed his right hand slightly upwards while his left raised for the cooks attention, "Uh..." Then he was reminded that rushing a chef is a bad idea, not to mention it's possible to receive raw ramen or meat, and even if his stomach wanted to kill him right now, he would not show such disrespect or be given such a consequences of eating raw food. He simply took deep breathes, feeling his stomach, and releasing it partially outwards, and with repeatition, he had eaten a good amount of air, and his stomach was moderately satisfied. Some may think it was impossible to eat air, however it was indeed a skill only those who suffer hunger can harness correctly, and so, his mood heightened until...
A man all too familiar popped beside him, deciding to take the seat directly by him, when he could've or should've taken the far corner. Genji didn't like his smell - weak. It was the captain of the Konoha's Police Force, and a member of the same Clan as him. He didn't deserve the name. He didn't deserve the title. He didn't deserve the blood. This was what Genji concluded. He despised this man with much distaste that the thought of hunger disappeared into the wind being replaced by a facial twitch of disgust.
The fact he even took the liberty, or BELIEVED he had the right to speak to him grew his disdain for his existence. Not only that, he decided to lecture him on his order, the motherfucking nerve this one had, including the balls to do such a thing. If it wasn't for the uproar that would assume, he would grab his Kunai, jab it into his heart and watch as all the unworthy Uchiha blood he possessed flowed out of his body. The amount of killing intent he emitted was hard to contain, and it wasn't as if he wanted to contain it. He just knew it was inappropriate.
Taking several deep breaths, he placed his hand in somewhat Mi handseal formation, albeit it wasn't a handseal, but more of a prayer of hands folded together. "How long?" He asked the chef, and he replied by saying a few more seconds for him to put the meat into the bowl. Genji nodded. His nose twitched in doing so. The whiff of the shamefully weak brimming in his nose, he couldn't help but turn his black eyes towards the "supposed" member of the Uchiha Clan.
"Are you talking to me?" He acted as if he heard not a single thing of what he said, but knew he was talking, but of course this was an attempt to tell the man that he wasn't important enough to gather his attention upon approach, or at least, that's what he wanted to convey.

The boy was antsy... enough that it made Sato somewhat uncomfortable. When he'd taken over as the Clan's head once his father retired, Sato had scanned the clan registers with the Sharingan and memorized all of the information contained within. As such, he knew a decent amount about every Uchiha in the village- at the very least, those that were registered. Uchiha Genji. He preformed well enough in the Academy, falling behind a bit as far as physical prowess went... which was definitely something that Satori could understand, having experienced the same thing himself. Both of the boy's parents were dead, but that wasn't at all uncommon for the Uchiha- even among ninja families, the Uchiha seemed to have an unnaturally high mortality rate. There hadn't been much more than that listed on the boy's page. Just that he had temper tantrums on occasion; which tied into showing disrespect towards his betters. Which led Satori to merely lean back and smirk slightly when the boy addressed the cook instead of acknowledging anything that he'd said. It seemed as though the boy was in need of a bit of an attitude adjustment. After a moment, Sato cocked his head towards the boy, glancing at his collar. He could feel the bloodlust radiating off of him, generating an almost oppressive atmosphere in the small shop. Yes... a serious attitude adjustment was needed. Animosity wasn't an emotion that any Konoha shinobi should hold towards an ally, much less the leader of their own clan. "Hm. Ignoring me, eh?" He stopped there, almost adding 'That isn't good for your health, either' but thought better of it. That would be a bit much for this setting, even for him. But at Genji's second comment, Satori's smirk grew noticeably. He'd definitely heard what the older man had said, so the boy was merely being difficult now. He closed his eyes for a moment before snapping them open, glaring at the other Uchiha with crimson eyes. "You'd best learn to respect your elders... Uchiha Genji." He also slipped his hands under the counter and snapped off a few handseals in preparation. There was little doubt in his mind that Genji would try and attack him by this point, but it was also almost certain that he was faster than Satori- most people were. To compensate, the older Uchiha had long since learned to prepare his next three moves in advance. Even if they were faster, it didn't mean much when he was already ready for them before they even knew they wanted to act. [Dialogue Color]: Text[Techniques Used]: [Chakra Reserves]: [Inventory]: |

→ His mouth started to taste insanely bitter, not from the food, of which he touched none, but from the atmosphere itself. The breath of the Uchiha beside him. The very fact he held presence in front of Genji knowing full well he had no right - in Genji's mind - to speak. His eyes forcefully staying attached to the man's form will only bring about a harder resistance to not kill him at this exact moment. He knew this, however, he can't let go, no, he couldn't let go of his visual perception of the man before him. He hated him that much. All the more justified when the Uchiha's Eyes closed, then reopened with the crimson two-tomoe, and Genji's emotions were near its brink. The initiation of a sharingan in the presence of another either meant that the person was ready for combat, or threatening. Genji saw that, but all of a sudden.
He exploded in cheerful laughter.
A tear coming down from his face. He wiped it with his left hand as the chef brought over his All-Meat Ramen and placed it near him. "Satori-Bō," he said with a smug smile as he calmed himself down after a huge laughter and turned his eyes towards the Ramen, his usage of the word "Bō" was to denote the level at which he believed Satori to be at compared to him - a child or baby in other words. "I'll respect you when you earn my respect, and from the looks of it, that'll never happen." He was strictly poking fun at Satori's prevalent mastery of the sharingan being non-mature - two tomoe. Even to those who rely on sharingan, to possess such a state was ridiculous for as long Satori has had it, and such, proved his inability to reign at the top of the Police Force.
His chop sticks moved to slurp the Ramen, he was hungry, regardless of the man who stood before him, and his ramen was gone in seconds. He felt full, but the reason why he rushed wasn't because of the ramen's deliciousness - albeit a factor - but because he didn't want to be near this man in such a setting. He took a deep breath.
"I take it, since you're brave enough to brandish such a weak power in-front of me, you're challenging me?" He asked smugly patting his stomach in relief, "If so, Satori-Bō," he had to reiterate his current thoughts of Satori, "I'll accept the day to trump my 'elders' any day."

Genji's attitude was certainly inappropriate for the current setting, but he didn't let his anger get the better of him. Still, Satori left his prior jutsu 'active' in that he could draw the illusion forth at any moment, although continuously molding chakra in this way prevented him from changing his mind. He'd either be casting the illusion, or be forced to release the chakra to prepare a different jutsu. A ploy which, he was sure, there wouldn't be time for if Genji did decide to assault him after all. But when Genji suddenly broke out into laughter, Sato raised an eyebrow curiously. That was the exact opposite reaction that he'd been expecting from the boy. Of course, the odd attitude was explained when he decided to insult Satori directly. He had to earn the Chuunin's respect? Obviously the boy had little understanding of how the world worked. He didn't have to earn or even demand respect; it should merely be given. Satori leaned back in his chair and sighed deeply, "Kids these days. Back in my day, we knew better than to talk back to an elder." Indeed, showing this level of insolence and disrespect to his father or another older Uchiha would have earned him a lashing- at the very least. It seemed as though he would have to teach the boy a lesson or two after all. And he knew just the way to do it. As soon as the boy reached for his chopsticks so that he could begin eating, Satori's Sharingan narrowed as he activated the Genjutsu, immediately snapping a hand out towards the boy's forehead. Since they were only about a foot apart, the bodily contact was unnecessary- the jutsu would activate automatically. Instead, the purpose of the hand was to smack against the boy's forehead, "Mokuton... Jubaku Eiso." Wood Release: Tree Bind Flourishing Burial. Not a technique that Satori was actually capable of preforming due to his lack of the Hokage's DNA, but it's effects were similar enough to the Genjutsu that he'd placed Genji under. A single treeroot would spring up from underneath where the Uchiha was sitting, moving from his right thigh to his left shoulder before more and more roots sprang to life, until it seemed that he was restrained by a large tree that reached the top of the ramen shop's ceiling, roots and branches flaring out to cover the ceiling entirely. If Genji was restrained, Sato would ruffle the boy's hair roughly, almost giving him a noogie before patting him a few times; then grab the bowl that was in front of him and drag it over to the older man, snapping his own chopsticks into two before slowly eating the meal intended for Genji. The cook opened his mouth to say something, but a sharp glare from Satori's crimson eyes silenced him. "You know, I think you're right, Genji. This does taste good." When he finally finished the bowl, he'd slam the dish on the countertop and clap his hands together, head turned to gaze at the boy, "You're a thousand years too young to challenge me or my authority. Never forget that." He turned his attention back to the cook and bowed his head slightly, "Ikimasu." With that done, he'd stand, brushing off his robes while preparing to leave. The cook inquired about the food that the older Uchiha had ordered, but Satori simply told him to keep it and give the bill to Genji, "I trust we won't have this problem again? Until next time... Uchiha Genji." He offered the boy a slight smirk before turning to leave. [Dialogue Color]: Text[Techniques Used]: [Chakra Reserves]: [Inventory]: |

→ His attempt to eat his Ramen was interrupted by a sudden touch of the jounin, which enraged the boy's that on natural instinct, he would've pulled a Kunai and jabbed it in his eyes, however, any attempt to do so seemed to be restrained. He was taught in a tree encircling his body and restricting his movements. Not to mention, afterwards when he realized his sudden entrapment, Satori had the nerve to think utilizing Mokuton in verbal language was proper, however he already knew two things about this technique. One, it was a village technique utilized by the villages most adept Genjutsu, and is one of the common ones he's come across many times - old dog, same tricks. Two, utilizing the mirage of attempting to make it Ninjutsu by saying a technique unique to the Hokage, his Kage, and he knows all about his genetic KG. He was famous for it, of course. His jaw twitched erratically as his teeth clinched together - he bore his fangs at Satori.
Oh no he didn't.
At this point, Genji was ready to bring himself intense pain to break free from this jutsu, use this attempt as well as a witness as an act of aggression - legally killing him, but his eyes couldn't believe what he did next and was distracted by so much anger and hatred. The bastard. He grabbed the meal he ordered, ate it in-front of him, and teased him. Then say that HE, Uchiha Genji, was too early to challenge his authority. At this point, his hand already clenched from his earlier frustration tightened, his nails entered the skin and he bled. His clenched teeth bore deeper into each other and his gums bled. His eyes filled with killing intent bled of hatred. His entire body had tightened up that it hurt. His muscles. His joints. His head. His heart. Before he knew it, his mind snapped out of the illusion from pure intense self-inflicted pain and concentration on Satori's form.
His arm was the first to move.
It swayed slightly to the right as Genji noticed the tree was no longer there. Satori was already ready to leave, but Genji wouldn't allow that. He couldn't. "Yo...you disrespect me. You disgrace our clan. You're not worthy of your seat, and I promise you, when I take the leadership within the Uchiha Clan, you'll be the first exiled, robbed of everything you love, and left in the streets begging." His blood dripped from his hands, his mouth had two lines dripping from it, his muscles twitched, and his eyes were almost bloodshot.
It stopped.
Flash Back - 4 Years Ago
[/u][/b] It was four years ago in the Uchiha's Compound Training Grounds, and little Genji trained his best in tiring times. He divulged a majority of his time to training, forsaking the need for social relationships, but no matter what he did, he never revealed his sharingan. Ha! Hah! HAH! His fists meet with the training post over and over while his breath held nothing back in aggression, but it didn't work. He still wasn't stronger. He failed in Close-Combat, he needed to change that, he wanted to become stronger, strong enough for his father to be proud of him. Ha! Ha! " Garbage." A strong fluid voice spoke behind Genji. Genji didn't notice anyone's presence being too focused upon training itself, and so his head suddenly turned around in desperate surprise. There he was, his father with his beloved sharingan embedded within those eyes of his, and Genji knew from his slim appearance and cold, disappointed eyes that it was none other than his father. " Fa...father!" He called out reluctantly. His father folded his arms in response. " Have you unlocked the our legacy yet?" He asked it in a somewhat rhetorical tone. Genji hesitated. He's been unable to unlock his sharingan. His head and eyes dropped to his fathers feet in shame. " At the age of 12! You're incapable of using our clans most powerful weapon! Pathetic!" He shouted and continued, " You know, when i was 12, i had already matured my sharingan to its fullest. I was yielded as one of the strongest in the Uchiha Clan." His need to bring up his past and measure Genji up was prevalent always in their meetings, " Yet you, you're like a commoner! I SWEAR! Your mother had to have cheated..." his words held anger and shame, " there's no way you're my son." Genji's eyes widened going upwards towards his Father's tall and strong form. " Da...dad!" Genji whimpered out pathetically. " Don't." He ceased him with the universal sign for halt. " With your weakness, you disrespect me, your disgrace your clan, and i promise you, as long as you remain weak, you'll be robbed of everything you love, and left to beg in the streets." He turned around, and begun to walk away. Genji's body fell to the ground of its own fruition. Tears came his eyes, and it flowed like a broken faucet - almost endless. Almost. Before he knew it, the same involuntary way of falling to the ground, he raised upright and his eyes had lost its ability to produce tears. " As a Ninja of the Hidden Leaf, I challenge you to an official Taitou Jissen!" He shouted with all his might. " No, you're not nearly my equal. Garbage."
He felt unusually calm after saying those words. His eyes reverted back to its normal apathetic appearance, and his teeth lost its fangs. He could feel his muscles relaxing. His hands reached for his Headband, first unloosening it, and tightening it immediately. " As a Ninja of the Hidden Leaf, i challenge you to an official Taitou Jissen!" Taitou Jissen, a word used by ancient times, it meant Equal Combat, or to battle as equals. It was awkward that Genji would initiate such a phrase. It was usually declared when a shinobi sees another as an equal, both in status, power, and respect. They then clash until one proves to be stronger, most if not always it ends in mutual death, hence the name Taitou Jissen. It was only refused for two reasons, either they believed they were weaker than you, or did not see you as an equal in turn disrespecting you beyond belief for acknowledging them to be equals, or for the former, disrespect them. His eyes, what once had hatred, had intensity that had won wars, destroyed souls, and taken down a village - Umeki Ryoishi [for the win]. His headband had slight traces of blood from his cut hands, and his mouth bore a serious shape with it's two lines of crimson on either side dripping. All that was left was for Satori to reply. He chuckled softly and looked back over his shoulder at the boy, Sharingan still flaring, "Heh... did you say something?" It was similar to the veiled insult that Genji had thrown his way earlier. But he was still ready for an attack. After the small incident with Fuku Hayate recently, Satori learned that he couldn't rely on others acting rationally. They allowed lust, rage, greed to consume them and cloud their thoughts... something that Sato himself found reprehensible. If you were unable to keep your wits about you, then how did you expect to accomplish anything at all? Regardless, Genji's threat had little effect on Satori. He wasn't exactly rich on the spiritual side of things. His family was rather dysfunctional, he hadn't found someone that he wished to spend the rest of his days with, and although he made a decent salary, he wasn't rolling in dough. Becoming an exile of the Uchiha Clan would honestly not be much of a change as far as his lifestyle went. But then the boy did something that he would soon come to regret severely. Satori's eyes narrowed in response to the phrase, clicking his tongue, "Taitou Jissen...? Now, where did you learn a thing like that?" The boy was essentially challenging him to a duel to the death... did he realize that's what it was? Did he understand the gravity of the challenge that he just issued to the leader of his own clan? He hesitated for a moment before letting his head tilt forward a bit, smiling softly, "No, it doesn't matter. Very well... if you wish to have a trial by arms, then you'll have a trial by arms." He turned around to face the boy, folding his arms over themselves so that he could reach into his sleeves, "One week from today, at the sparring field in the center of the Uchiha Compound. We'll invite the entire clan to serve as witnesses for the match, so there will be no escaping the outcome for either party." The slight smirk that he still bore made it obvious how he expected the match to end. The boy would end up dead or exiled... if he wished to accept a strict interpretation of the rules. But Satori was nothing if not merciful. When he won, maybe he'd allow the boy to stay. After all, if being slapped around in front of the entire clan wasn't enough to fix his attitude, what would be? Regardless of what the boy's response was, Satori would simply turn back towards the shop's hanging banners and leave. He'd wasted enough time on this matter as it was. → His every sense was focused on the man. Every sound made by his body was heard, every word was received and interpreted, every smell was smelt, every taste was tasted, and every sight was absorbed. He stayed silent throughout Satori's words. What he wanted wasn't words, he wanted a confirmation or denial of the Taitou Jissen and nothing else. The details that came with the confirmation was accepted with a nod. His eyes lost its indifference and remained intensified.
"Agreed." Was all he could say at the end. A week. A single week. A week to finally defeat his fath-Satori, in-front of the clan nonetheless. He had no care of what would happen afterwards, or what happened before, he just had one goal to happen during, and that was to win.
"In one week, i'll defeat you." Once and for all. He got up from his seat, exited open-air ramen shop, and left. His eyes, no matter what he thought, possessed that intense glare, and it seemed it'll stay there until his death.
