[/b]: Atypical of any summoning contract, Kouin Saou takes the form of a completely unrolled scroll – a small one were it rolled – that is to be wrapped around a wielder's body. Rather than paper, it is made of silken cloth, and its length seems to be indefinite for peculiar reasons (see Other). It bears no markings or decorations aside from the signatures of summoners, its stipulations, and the occasional summoning formula(s).

→ Other: Kouin Saou must be wielded by a Kazekage in order for it to even unroll. As if it had a mind of its own, the seal that was used to create it installs a mechanism which recognizes that a person attempting to wield it is indeed Kazekage, and will then let only that person sign it. This last part is manifested by the contract stipulations appearing on the cloth along with a section to contain the signature.

Signatures are normally invisible – they have no set physical location on the contract itself. This is because the contract was created with the intention of having a single wielder at any given time. Given that the method of doing so was made as having to wield it on one's own body, a failsafe had to be installed in order to keep the contract alive.

First, the contract recognizes a Kazekage. Appearing to be a simple roll of cloth with a large 王 (king) Kanji on the middle, surrounded by runes, it will unfold to reveal the stipulations and permit the Kazekage to sign it as well as provide a sample of blood. Then recognizing the Kazekage's body as indicated by the blood, it will latch on and automatically wrap itself around the entire body save for the face.

Every single rune and marking disappears from the contract until it appears to be regular cloth. Were it to sustain any sort of damage, the cloth can "summon more of itself" to replace lost portions (no smoke is given off; it appears as if it were some sort of regeneration). In fact, in order to wrap itself around a new Kazekage's body it does just this so that it can adapt to this person's bodily dimensions.

Every time the Kazekage wishes to summon a creature pertaining to this contract, the contract itself will partially unfold to reveal a summoning formula – this contract is used a medium for the Summoning Technique. This only applies with the contract's Species and when summoning inventory (if Summoning Spec).

→ Chakra: Spirit Worm affinities are special in that they do not conform to the natural law of affinities being only basic natures. In fact, they are incapable of having such affinities. Instead, their "affinities" will always be Inton | Yin Release by default, due to being comprised mostly of Spiritual Energy (80:20). As such, they seek sources of chakra as a surefire method of finding Physical Energy to feed on in order to stabilize.

Stabilization occurs when they reach a 50:50 ratio, though they can consume more Physical Energy at the summoner's command until it maxes out at 20:80. When they are stable, their "affinity" becomes Onmyouton | Yin-Yang Release, and when they have a ratio that is of higher Physical Energy it becomes Youton | Yang Release.

→ Physical: As they are 80% Spiritual Energy and 20% Physical Energy, Spirit Worms usually "phase" through objects. If they consume enough Physical Energy this will change – the Speed at which they can phase through objects as well as the amount of influence a Worm's body has on an object it is phasing through (leaving traces/prints) will be affected.

→ Special: Spirit Worms can freely Absorb and Transfer Physical Energy due to needing it for sustenance. This includes all chakra sources – both living beings and techniques alike. The Conversion formula is used for this, however instead of counting the total Chakra in D%, half of it will be included in the formula, without rounding any decimals. The R% is then added to the Spirit Worm's Energy ratio. If the sum of both ratios total more than 100, Spiritual Energy is subtracted until the sum equals 100.
