► Appearance
Tengoku is a teenager of moderate stature, considered average in both height and weight for his age. Betrayed by his skinny appearance, the fighter does possess muscle definition from his training. Even though his muscles aren't apparent, Tengoku takes great pride in his biceps and refers to them as his 'guns.'
He has fair skin and an unkempt mop of blonde hair that reaches to about the middle of his neck and just over a pair of slender, cat-like brown eyes that are sure to be brimming with curiosity, mischief, or intensity. Tengoku's face is rather wide with a sharp jawline and pointed chin and tends to be expressing the extreme of whatever emotion the youth is feeling.
Despite being a loud and flashy individual, Tengoku's choice of attire is relatively simple. The most distinguishable part of his clothing is the open hooded jacket he wears that reaches about halfway down his biceps with three spots on both sides of the hood, including the inside. The color of the jacket and the spots are always reversed on the interior. Tengoku almost always wears the jacket with the hood up, bringing it down only if a fight is becoming serious. Beneath the jacket is a shirt that reaches just below his elbows with a small v-shaped split at the top held together by two sections of crossed string. On his lower half, Tengoku wears long pants held up by a belt and tucked into boots that go just past the middle of his shins. The outfit is completed by leather gloves worn over his hands, which are bandaged up to about the middle of his arm.
Any outfit Tengoku wears is almost always the above outfit in another color variant. Currently Tengoku wears a black hooded jacket with white spots (white on the inside and black spots), a tan shirt, blue pants, a brown belt, black boots, and black gloves.
► Mental Assessment
Tengoku Tenshi is the best. That single sentence is what defines personality Tengoku's personality and drives him forward. At first glance, the young ninjutsu specialist is a hot-headed, boisterous, and even arrogant teenager with little knowledge of his own limits. Tengoku has an infinite belief in himself and his strength, fueling a boundless determination and an idealistic view that any challenge can be overcome with the belief. Tengoku possesses a nearly insatiable appetite for greatness and adventure, wishing to spread his name across the seas, regardless of how reckless he can be in the endeavor. Despite being unknown outside of Takigakure, Tengoku expects recognition rather instead of demanding it.
While he may the visage of a cocky kid overstepping his bounds, Tengoku is completely oblivious to the type of person he comes across as. Tengoku's belief that he is the best is so extreme that is might as well be an absolute fact. Arrogance isn't a concept Tengoku is capable of understanding. In his mind, his zealous pride is nothing out of the ordinary. What is out of the ordinary is any time people are put-off or amazed by his thick-headed disposition. If you're the best, why not let people know?
Besides being unaware of his cocky nature, Tengoku's temper often gets him in to trouble. The youth is quick to anger when a person doesn't recognize his 'status' or looks down on him, believing his fame to be as true in other people's head as his own. Tengoku's age sometimes shows as well, displaying a naive nature in social situations or in the face of danger a seasoned sea-pro would think twice about taking on.
Tengoku has little tolerance for the strong preying on the weak and will go to great lengths to protect even strangers because of this, the sense of duty growing from being bullied in his own youth. Tengoku also displays fierce loyalty for anyone he considers a comrade, placing great value in friendship considering he had few on his home island. In the end, Tengoku's attitude can be attributed to his childhood as an outcast. When only his mother and mentor gave him a chance, Tengoku simply became his own biggest fan.

► Background Information
Tengoku Tenshi was born the bastard child of a dashing blond-haired criminal and a beautiful Takigakure woman named Rossi Tenshi. A single passionate night was all it took, both caught up in young lust that never bloomed into a love on longevity. The criminal disappeared to sea soon after despite Rossi' pleas, unaware of the son he left behind. Already Tengoku's life was off to an unfortunate start, but he wouldn't let that keep him down.
Growing up, Rossi told Tengoku little of his father. Not even his name. Explaining the circumstances to an innocent child was too painful, so Rossi did her best to withhold his identity and assure Tengoku that his father was out to sea and not coming back. Tengoku wasn't saddened by the prospect, never knowing life with a father. His mother's love was all of the happiness he needed. However, Tengoku still had an insatiable curiosity for the whereabouts of his father.
The incident between the mysterious criminal and Tengoku had spread like wildfire across the small village, creating widespread rumors and gossip throughout the town. Rossi could rarely go a day without hearing a whisper or catching a disapproving glance from the townspeople. As Tengoku began to venture outside to play with the other children on Takigakure, his father's identity as a criminal reached his years. Rossi eventually couldn't keep the truth from Tengoku and admitted his father was a criminal, but made sure to give no more information than that. The townspeople knew little more than Tengoku when it came down to it. When Tengoku realized his father was a criminal, it only served to strengthen his spirit. He had already read about criminals of the past in the books his mother insisted he read and, to Rossi's dismay, became fascinated with a criminal's life. Tengoku began idolizing his father, oblivious to the reality that he had abandoned him and his mother.
The children in town didn't share Tengoku's enthusiasm. Usually fueled by the judgment of their parents, they singled Tengoku out as an outcast and made a point to bully him, belittling him and his father any chance they could. Tengoku's spirit was never broken despite whatever harsh words or blows rained down upon him, remaining protective his father's name despite never knowing him. Rossi attempted to steer Tengoku away both from chasing after his father's memory and standing up to the other children, but the hard-headed youth was determined to persevere regardless of the beatings. The prospect of a criminal's blood running through him thrilled Tengoku and an unwavering belief in himself because of that blood soon began developing. Tengoku's dream of setting out to the other lands was being realized.
The bullying continued but Tengoku refused to back down. On one particular day, Tengoku found an unlikely protector. A broad-shouldered man with graying hair broke up one of the usual beatings, shooing the Amegakure kids away. The stranger helped Tengoku to his feet, asking his name and offering his own in return: Barrett. The savior made a point to bring Tengoku back to his home. On the walk there, Barrett revealed that he was a former Jounin of Takigakure and had retired in the peaceful town. Tengoku became wildly interested in Barrett's past, telling the former Jounin his goal to set out to the other lands some day and his father's identity as a criminal. Barrett couldn't help but feel sympathy for the fatherless child, but was also charmed by his enthusiasm.
Upon arriving at the Tenshi's residence, Barrett decided to pull Rossi aside and speak with her about Tengoku. Barrett had suspicions about the identity of Tengoku's father, seeing a striking resemblance to a criminal from his own past. Rossi eventually revealed Tengoku's fathers name to Barrett, confirming his suspicions. Tengoku's father was a criminal Barrett had crossed paths with more than once. Barrett and Rossi discussed Tengoku's future, with the former Jounin attempting to convince her to allow Tengoku to stay in Takigakure since they already had a limited supply of ninja. In Barrett's mind, it was better for Tengoku to find out what kind of man his father was when he gets older.
Secretly, Barret began teaching Tengoku how to fight and use jutsu, basically become a ninja.
Barrett began teaching Tengoku how to fight and the two began becoming close friends despite the vast difference in age. Tengoku earned the affectionate nickname “Young Peacock” from Barrett because of his tendency to show off and always seek out recognition on the island. Tengoku's fighting abilities grew along with his friendship with Barrett, and soon again he was fighting back against the island bullies and gradually taking them down one at a time. Brawl after brawl, Tengoku climbed the ranks to become the strongest kid in the land. No one bothered to face him one-on-one. Tengoku's new-found fighting abilities only further alienated him from the island's youth, but he didn't care. As long as Tengoku had his mother, Barrett, and himself, there was no stopping him.
A year later, when Tengoku had graduated from the academy he started to learn the elements of chakra and much to Barrett's surprise Tengoku possessed an element, One that his father possessed, Raiton. Tengoku was not clumsy with the elements and seemed to possess a gift, he was skilled with ninjutsu and taijutsu but moreso ninjutsu. He used these elements in spars and that alienated himself even more. It took him two years to learn all the basics.
Soon enough another day of immense magnitude occurred in Tengoku's life. The Chuunin Exams had started and Tengoku was in it, after a couple days he found out he passed the exams and was promoted to the rank of Chuunin.
By the time Tengoku was 16, Barrett finally decided the young fighter was ready to live by himself and control his own life, with that said, Barret bought Tengoku a small room in a small residence and told Tengoku to work his way up, slowly buying himself bigger residences and establishing himself in the shinobi world.
A year later Tengoku was promoted to the Chuunin Task Guard.
From that day on, Tengoku has turned out to be a great shinobi with aspirations of finding his father.
