[/justify]When a certain population grew to a certain size and could only hold so many within its borders there was a need to expand to other lands and colonize them. However, not having to send military support to attack said land always helped, and this was especially true when the land had been destroyed by war and needed all the help it could get. The land had stabilized quite well with the aid though it was hardly a shell of its former glory. In the best interest of this newly acquired land it was necessary to send patrols to and from to make sure things were going fine, in addition to those who were stationed on a more permanent basis.
These were the set of circumstances that led to a certain Chunin having to make his way to the revitalized, to an extent, city of Ame; specifically the portion that Suna controlled. As it was more a routine patrol than anything serious he was able to go about the mission alone, a fact that didn't cause a stir in the boy either way. He certainly enjoyed the less than sweltering conditions that Suna was known for, while at the same time being able to do a bit of sight seeing. Amid the newer buildings were ruins of the old infrastructure which, according to legend, towered hundreds of feet in the air in every direction. Even in a time of war it was hard to imagine that structures so massive could even be brought down.
Such was might of men gifted with power of the elements, an old proverb that Kosui had heard from an elder many years ago. Fan securely attached to the holster on his back, the Chunin held was still a decent distance from the main town and had been walking along a dirt path flanked by knee high grass on either side. The gray clouds above signaled rain in the immediate future, though that was about the most interesting thing to be seen so far. All that his mission required was a simple check in with the stationed guards and a small tour of the town to make sure that everything was in order, though to be honest he wasn't in any rush to get back to the sweltering heat of his home land.
