➤ POLITICAL STANDPOINT: Ki is a very political person at heart. She has a great number of viewpoints on how things should operate, and what's the desired outcome of her village dream. Like most sane leaders, she wants nothing more than just the best for her village. To live in a world with absolutely no enemies is her true goal in terms of happiness, but with the current times, that is far from possible.
With that being said, she plays her cards right. She knows just how corrupt everyone is, even herself, and because of that, she trusts no other village to the extent that she actually should be able to. She doesn't want war if she can prevent it, but she wouldn't hesitate to send her shinobi to the front line in order to protect and preserve the pride of her village. ➤ PERSONALITY: Boastful and vain are the two most simplest traits one could use to describe Ki. Being noted as one of the greatest medic to ever live, one could assume that the woman holds her abilities in very high regards. Along with her abilities, she hold her appearance and reputation in high regards also. She is proud of who she is, what she has accomplished, and what she intends to get done in her future.
It wouldn't be odd if she noted even her enemy on how they look in battle. Being a woman, Ki is quite self-conscious about her age. Although she is young, and she knows that she's young, she rather not have people know. Because of this, she never seems to ever leak any of her personal information. And by being the Raikage, she was capable of wiping any evidence of her age from her files.
"With leadership comes knowledge." Being the former head of the medics and the leader of Kumo, intelligence is a powerful thing to have, and Ki is considered to have it to a very great extent in her village. She is a very capable leader, being a keen thinker, always proving to be highly observant and analytical. This usually allows her to see through most deceptions and rarely get caught off-guard.
Her intelligence, however, is most renowned as the best in the world for her expertise in all areas of medicine (or medical related topics in general). She can immediately determine what kind of injuries or illness (physical or mental) a person has from a single glance. In addition to this, she also has a vast knowledge of poisons and herbal medicine, being the only person capable of countering the majority of poisons in the world perfectly.
Ki is far from scared to take action and tell off each and every person who does something that's either: out of order, different from what was directed, or differs from what she ordered. She is no beginner to ordering others to do anything she says, and if you think she accepts talking back, then you have another thing coming. She has little to no tolerance whatsoever for rudeness and nonsense from others, whether it be her subordinates or her peers.
Hostile, hot tempered, and sarcastic are Ki's most notable and apparent negative traits. She believes that for herself, these three traits are needed in order to be a respected authority figure. Ki is never one to be friendly with opponents. She is also quite sarcastic, so her mind produces sarcastic thoughts when not needed. Her mental stability is very high, however, giving her a strong-will and strong control over her conscience.

Maybe Life Isn't... "When you live in the world alone,
You can become resentful towards it."
Those were the words told to the few kids that were left alone and placed in the village's orphanage. It was a quote that was shaped into the kid's mind to give them visions of how they would be if the orphanage wasn't there for them. In the words of young Ki, "Although living alone would be much more worse, it really wasn't a prize to be an orphan." Growing up and having to live the world without parents is actually hurtful. It makes a child feel as if they were left and rejected.
Although not an actual home to call her own, Ki knew that each and every child in their shared the same experience as her; or worst. Ki never had the chance to meet her parents, at least not as memory serves her. But that also meant that she wasn't able to be heartbroken about her parents leaving her for whatever reason. All of her sentimental memories came from within the place. This included her first words, first steps, along with her first friend and crush.
When young, love is something viewed as a phase. At the age of seven, one shouldn't even know of the word love. But the heart wants what the hearts want, even if what it wants is viewed as negative. As a shinobi in the making, being in love wasn't a good thing, especially at their young age. The people there view it as, and morphed into the two minds' that it was only a phase that the two would soon get over. Because of this, no one bothered to say anything about it. This boy, Ichirujin, was the aid that Ki needed to push through her young years. With each other side by side, they gave each other someone that they could trust, someone who they could believe in.

As part of the orphanage, anyone that was deemed healthy and worthy of becoming a part of the village's forces was registered into the academy. At age eight, when it was time to begin, Ki was entered into the academy, but "Ichi" (as she liked to call him) wasn't. It of course made her curious as to why, but her curiosity wouldn't continue for long. She was a bold child, and wasn't afraid of asking questions, or making statements. The reason Ichirujin wasn't entered was because he was sick.
Not you average sick, however. Ichi had a disease that luckily wasn't contagious but slowly decreased his health every day he continued on. Ki would watch day after day as the medical team would try their best to cure his unknown disease, or at least heal him enough to decrease its effects. It was because of Ichi's lack of entrance into the academy that forced Ki to work her hardest. She had to do her best and make it through for both of them. That was how strongly connected she felt with the other. As of now, she was actually going for the both of them. Luckily for Ki though, she had an innate aptitude for the place.
This allowed her to pick up on the material quicker than the others, and easily gain top marks on her exams. This placed her in high regards in both her instructor's eyes and the eyes of the village's higher ups. By her second month in the academy, she was viewed by the instructors as an extremely gifted prodigy. She was even regarded by most of them as the best of the current generation of academy students. This was due to her quick advancements on chakra control, which allowed her to perform the basic skills taught to her very easily.

Ki's first love died only the year after she entered the academy. Being only at the age of nine, Ki didn't truly know how to feel. She knew she was sad inside, felt lonely and depressed. But the feeling of being abandoned wasn't new to her, so she didn't have traumatic thoughts about it. When Ki turned eleven, she graduated from the academy, top of her class.
If one believed that she was at the top of her game when Ichirujin was alive, then they were definitely off a bit. Not until his death did Ki actually start putting her full effort into her work. She had to be sure that Ichi's young name didn't become absolutely nothing through her.
Ever since Ichi's death, Ki started to look into the art of medical ninjutsu. By the age of eleven, she had already self-taught herself how to accurately tell the vital points in the human body. This was accomplished through trail and error, with her orphanage siblings as test subjects. When she became a genin, Ki's first goal was to start in the actual art of medical ninjutsu.
This meant that she wanted to learn techniques, and not only pressure and vital spots in the body. Her first person in mind to ask was the village's Head Medic. Amazed at the young girl's request, the woman asked why the girl wanted to learn how to be a medic. Ki's answer was simple: She didn't want to feel useless next time one of her loved one died.
The answer was strong and meaningful, more than what the medic assumed would come from the girl. She only asked as a joke, guessing she would get a childish answer back. But this girl, Ki, she was seriously interested in the art of Medical Ninjutsu. The head medic could tell that she would actually take the time to work on how to achieve great results from medical things.
With that, she adopted Ki from the orphanage, and her training began. The head medic's way of teaching started off lightly, and it was easily noticed by Ki. In only a week of training, she requested that she was thought more important and stronger things. She didn't want the training to go easily; she wanted hard stuff. Her teacher couldn't take her as a kid, she had to picture Ki as a shinobi of higher ranking ready to learn and ready to grow stronger.

At the age of fourteen, Ki had spent the entirety of three years training medical techniques, procedures, and operations. She even become a regular member of the medical team. But at this age, Ki decided that she would start to research her own things for the subject. She wanted to become a medic unlike any other.
You could say she wanted to become someone perfect in all fields of the medical ninjutsu aspects, someone with no flaws. Someone who was looked up to for advice in the art. Someone viewed as the GOD of medical ninjutsu. After a year, she developed the fighting style of Chakra Enhanced Strength. This was the process of focusing chakra to a specific part of the body. After doing so, the user would gain strength otherwise impossible.
The unique style certainly gained her a huge reputation. This strength was viewed by everyone as her raw strength because the process was done almost immediately. It didn't require any hand seals for activation, and wasn't recognizable. She was viewed as the strongest child in her village, in terms of pure strength, just because of the ability.
At the age of sixteen, she gained permission to travel the world to explore other types of herbs, medicine, poisons and anything else that would help her with her creations. By the young age of twenty, Ki had successfully traveled through all the main lands, and collected data on most of their medical materials. She created journals containing such information, and created scrolls of technique that were her creations, which would successfully help with anything needed.
When the bijuu hunt came, Ki has spent only a year in the village and just turned twenty-one. By this time around, the woman's face was renown by the entirety of the Cloud Village, along with whispers throughout the other major villages. After all, no one in the world at current time could say that they possessed strength equal to what she could accomplish. Her raw strength on it's own could bench the full weight of the Raikage himself with one hand. Along with that, her medical prowess was deemed highly without flaws.
Just before things got heavy, Ki was told to order back the shinobi who had come along in the bijuu capture. The Nidaime foresaw the unpleasant future ahead, and while he was a man of battle confidence - never letting his shinobi quit until the very end, he was a caring and prideful man too. He wouldn't just let his shinobi die on an effortless attempt. Along with this, he appointed her as Sandaime Raikage, in case he didn't make it back alive.
So that was it. Ki ordered a squad of her top and most reliable medical ninja and immediate backup to stay with the Nidaime, while she commanded the rest of the shinobi who had been appointed back to the safe confides of the village. When the Raikage was returned brutally hurt, her suspicion grew. While she knew that he had just fought a bijuu, she wasn't exactly positive that that was the only reason for him being hurt. Along with that, half, if not three-forth, of his backup didn't make it either. She tried to heal him with every ounce of her ability, but it was to no use.
When the Nidaime did die some time later, Ki was promoted to the position as Sandaime. After some analysis and question, she declares war on Sunagakure officially, believing that they had something to do with the death of someone who wasn't only her leader, but her companion too. Her suspicion from the time before got the best of her and blinded her in whether doing such was a good idea or not. But she was positive that only good results would come back after finding out that Konoha was also declaring war on the village.
